Once that one cell flips and starts multiplying, you can go from fine to dead in days to weeks. She absolutely would not have lived this long without any treatment.

My mom had a friend who died of this in the 1980s and it was literally a few weeks between her diagnosis and her death. She was only 31. It just went so fast.

A People article notes that Caroline will keep her memory alive the same way her own mother kept JFK's memory alive for her and John Jr. I'm so sorry for those babies but also thank god for them. Tatiana was the only one who had children at this point, and they will be such a consolation to the whole family.

Her article was amazing and her family seems amazing too. She was well loved and for good reasons. To lose her mother, father, brother and child - poor Caroline.

My own spouse felt healthy, strong and had just had a physical when he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He died 6 months later, with treatment. He would have been gone in weeks without the chemo, but it was brutal. It’s not a decision for anyone to question.

I think Jackie had brain cancer.

She had non-Hodgkins lymphoma which spread throughout her body. I was always under the impression the impression she took a “cocktail” to end the pain.

It was heavily implied if not said explicitly that Jackie timed her passing, as her son said she died at home surrounded by her friends, her family, her books, on her own terms. It was something like that.

Her sister’s son Anthony also died at 40 from sarcoma.

There were cancers on the Kennedy side and on the Bouvier side
