OP, I feel the same. I have no solution but here is what I am doing:

- Diversified my workouts to include pilates/yoga. I otherwise play tennis and walk (with friends - that helps my mood, too).

- Get my roots colored every 4 weeks, and my hair stylist has lightened the overall color so the roots blend a little better.

- My hair is SO dry and thin now, and also frizzy and always seems to have frizzy flyaways. I treat myself to a blow out any time I am going out. I may invest in a dyson air wrap. I would love to recommend hair products but haven’t found any miracle workers.

- I use a whitening toothpaste. I am nervous to do professional bleaching bc my teeth are already sensitive. I rub trentinoin right up to my lip line (see my skin care point below), and use laneige lip treatment on my lips and beyond the line.

- As a further rub to my thinning head hair, I have so many facial hair now, both overal fuzz and dark hairs around my mouth and chin (I never used!). I meticulously use one of those tinkle razors every Sunday night.

- I get regular manicures. At least one part of me looks groomed!

- Like PP said, I use body oil after the shower, especially on my chest, arms, above my knees.

- I follow a better facial routine - haven’t seen the benefits yet, but am hoping it at least will slow the progression In the evenings, I use trentinoin and a good nighttime moisturizer.

- I drink a lot of water, switched to decaffeinated coffee and tea, and try to get a good night’s sleep (it is hard!).

I have so many skin lumps and bumps- I would probably benefit from lymphatic massage as a poster mentioned. If that poster is reading, where does one get that kind of treatment and/or information?

GL to us!

Do some basic maintenance and except your "condition. ". And try to age gracefully by not being so disgustingly self-loathing

Lolz please rewrite the subject of the post then. Go ahead. Let’s see how it should have been done.

Kratos body massage. If Gaithersburg MD is a hike, Adolphine schedules in NW DC zas week, her number is 301-9566141. Highly recommend lymphatic drainage therapy for various issues related to peri and menopause

for me the treatments have help with inflammation. My digestive system seems to be more in tune too.
Stress management and a sense of well-being

Your advice was probably crass and unhelpful.

I haven’t seen this tip yet - I drink coffee and tea through a stainless steel straw to keep my teeth from getting more yellow (always, but especially after whitening). I don’t care if it looks ridiculous! Also I swear by the hair root spray.

I feel you, OP. The struggle is real.

I am turning 55 in a month. Any tips on droopy eyelids? Never thought that such a small change on the eyes can have a big impact on my look and my mental health!!

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve already done some cosmetic stuff in my 40s but at 55, it is long long gone.

My teeth are a bit yellow, my hair is thin, and although I’m thin, my skin is crepey.

I’m on HRT. I want to age ‘gracefully’ but this is depressing.

Anyone have advice?

My advice is talk to a couple of plastic surgeons and see what they can do and payment plans (sounds like you are not flush with cash?) Research a good hair stylist for gray hair--there is a lovely woman in Fairfax City but she runs about $600-1k depending on the length/condition/damage of your hair. She's an artist and totally worth it though.

Dental, you can get veneers or bridges. At your age I would not bother with dental implants bc the expense will probably not be worth your years left.
