Are they crazy in Florida?

Well they’re going to FAFO. We already had a measles epidemic that hit Texas, Oklahoma and a bunch of other “enlightened states” this summer. Wait till states start dealing with kids with polio and pregnant ladies with rubella. It’s sad that some people are trying to create such mistrust in our public health system.

It is all by design. There are too many mouths to feed in this country. MAGA is actively trying to kill us. Just wait.

Well it's not like we have years of data to predict.....oh wait, never mind, we actually do.

Same with gun laws. It doesn't matter.

This. They care about the birth rate. Not even the live birth rate. Just literally how many are born. After that you’re free to get shot or die of a preventable illness.

I wouldn’t have a baby in Florida. It would be too scary, knowing that diseases could potentially be circulated via unvaccinated children before my baby was old enough to get vaccinated. It’s crazy.

Yes. They are crazy. And sociopathic as well.

Florida plans to become the first state to end all vaccine mandates, including for schoolchildren, rejecting a practice that public health experts have credited for decades with limiting the spread of infectious diseases.

Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo, the Florida surgeon general, made the announcement on Wednesday alongside Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican. Mr. DeSantis rose to national prominence during the coronavirus pandemic, and over time he has espoused increasingly anti-vaccine views.

“Who am I to tell you what your child should put in their body?” Dr. Ladapo, a vocal denigrator of vaccines, said to applause during an event on Wednesday in Valrico, Fla., near Tampa. “Your body is a gift from God.”

He added that the administration would be “working to end” all vaccine mandates. “Every last one of them is wrong and drips with disdain and slavery,” Dr. Ladapo said.

The state would be the first to scrap requirements that children be vaccinated to attend school, among other rules.

Dr. Ladapo should lose his medical license. "Who am I to tell you what your child should put in their body?" Sir you are literally a doctor. Are you going to tell your patients to drink bleach?

Stop calling him doctor. He’s just a quack.

He’s the Florida Surgeon general. Until he loses his medical license, he’s a doctor. He is a total quack but so are all these Trump appointees

Yep. Make sure you don’t have a kid who ever gets extremely sick and can’t be vaxxed due to being medically fragile. Florida doesn’t care if they die either.

Yes Virginia, they are crazy in Florida.

And the problem is that they are able to travel outside their crazy, unvaccinated state. There should be a border wall between FL and the rest of the country now. They will become a much bigger menace than undocumented people.

Well, that's kind of the argument for public health more generally. Even if you don't care about a particular group of people, diseases don't recognize state/country borders.

But not children.

Apparently people are pushing back on that too.

I can't emphasize how much people should be scared of rabies. People seem to not understand that the shots you get after exposure are a vaccine, the only good thing about rabies is you have a long enough window between exposure and infection to get vaccinated first. But once you are actually infected with rabies, you are doomed to a horrible death.

You know how nervous people get when there’s a measles case and they release that the person was at terminal whatever at Dulles?

That’s going to happen at Disney.

I wonder if Disney world attendance will drop.

That already happened in 2014… At Disneyland an unvaccinated guest with measles infected 147 in the US and it spread to Mexico and Canada. It will become the norm, not an isolated case.
