That won’t stop amoral sack of sht Republicans from twisting it.

WTF? There is nothing to twist. This was 100% a racist comment! No twisting needed!

It was a stupid comment.

But it won’t warrant the hysterics that sack of sht Republicans are willing to unleash. They will do and say anything to win.

note that not one of the people in the trans-supporting crowd told that woman her sign was abominable

it had universal consent in that audience

Neither the protester nor anyone else thinks we would ever go back to segregated water fountains.

Or maybe MAGA would...they seem weirdly afraid of immigrants.

Oh, got another one. It's racist, but...

It's not racist. Naive maybe, but not racist.

Seem clear to me that her point is that transphobia is wildly bigoted, just as segregated water fountains were.

She not espousing segregated water fountains. She is saying we should reject transphobia.

I don't have a dog in this fight, and I don't see the situations as fully analagous.

But the intentional misreading and manufactured outrage is silly.

I really do not think you understand the history behind what she chose to write on her sign.

NP. It’s not that she’s arguing for racial segregation with the sign. It’s that she’s threatening what will happen if you are Black and don’t 100% follow the politics she thinks you should follow. It’s more of a threat than an argument.

Republicans would have nothing if they didn’t have their manufactured outrage.

meant to add: “political sign.”

And she was only cautioned when the Dems found out it was getting “negative” play on TV, not the fact that it was an awfully racist, disgusting sign.

I'm surprised you cannot understand this. You must be extremely low IQ.

A privileged white woman Democrat who registered with the Democrats when they were fighting to keep segregation has no business whatsoever weighing in on segregation-era mores. It is grotesque and frankly undermines her cause.

Did you and your high IQ even read the statement from Abigail Spanberger? She said it's racist, "Full Stop". I'm sure that she would very much like for her supporters to stop defending it.

PP you replied to. I am not involved or interested in this campaign, so did not read that statement. If she wrote that, then she's wrong. I understand that she might have wanted to head off accusations of racism at the pass, and doesn't want to wade into debate about this sign. But she's factually wrong. The sign is not racist.

I cannot believe people would be so stupid as to actually believe this sign is racist, so I am forced to conclude that these accusations are manufactured by a few people against this candidate, and that the rest are just jumping on the bandwagon without even reflecting on the actual meaning of the sign.

Spanberger seems professional and like she runs a tight ship. The focus needs to be on her platform and on not messy nonsense. This is her quietly asking her supporters to behave for the sake of the campaign and I hope people listen.

Because maybe Rs aren’t actually all/mostly racist and sexist as Ds like to assume? Ever think of that?

Then why do you keep voting for racist rapists?

Great question. Hopefully the PP can explain.

She’s a doorknocker for Spanberger. She’s part of the campaign team.

Too late.

I’m sure there will be photos of the lady with Abigail Spanberger together. Get ready for the campaign commercials.
