| South Carolina too now. |
As I said, you don’t understand economics. No one is going to give out payday loans at the “going rate” for people with good credit scores. Nor should they. |
What’s this costing us, like $2M per arrest? Thank god they got that dangerous delivery driver and had some anonymous sh@t bags beat him for traffic violations. What heroes of the Reich. Are we handing out iron crosses yet? The sandwich delivery recipient will probably get a Purple Heart from Trump. What did that ridiculous raid cost the taxpayers? Who needed cancer research or global stability when we can make random midwestern choads happy because we’ve called in the military on our own citizens while setting fire to barrels of tax money? |

Washingtonians are tired of endless crime. Surviving families of murder victims are speaking out with gratitude for protection from thugs allowed to carry illegal guns. |
Don't be such a jerk. People who are desperate for money and have no choice but to take out a payday loan shouldn't be legally FLEECED to do it. That was the point of the law. The point was not to stop payday loans for people who need them -- it was to protect people who need them. |
You're a fool if you think that Trump is helping solve crimes. This is all optics. |
Nice try. You don't even live in the DC area, so go away. |
They don’t live here. |
Or cares about locals. He doesn't. He openly disrespects Washingtonians. |
Then why aren't the national guard in the DC areas with the crime, instead of staying in the safe tourist and rich areas? It's all political theater. |
I am aware of what the point was. However, it was a poorly thought out bill that would have had unintended consequences you don’t want to bother your little head worrying about. Well someone needs to think about the results of well-intended regulations that don’t work how they expected in practice. |
| Why are Trump’s police arresting people for guns? |
They are combining ICE arrests with regular arrests. They are not getting any more arrests than a regular day for MPD. ICE arrests do not help crime in DC, our crime is committed by US citizens. Furthermore, one of the biggest issues with crime in DC in recent years is the no papering and prosecution rates which is within their control to fix. Nothing matters if they do not dramatically increase staffing rates to help prosecute the cases (plus well, actually prosecute them rather than completely drop the case the day after arrest). |
It’s almost like it’s a distraction so that we aren’t talking about how the president is a pedo and his traitorous collaboration with Putin. |
