Is sending the Ohio and WV national guard a way for Trump to have a coup?

Ridiculous. Such a huge waste of money. Breathtaking!

You obviously never lost a loved one to street violence. Go away.

How many of these troops are patrolling the actual crime ridden areas of DC? Not many. Seems like they are there to intimidate the wealthier and tourist areas.

Today the admin said arrests were higher in wards 7 and and 8 as a way of saying that criticism is unfounded. But only idiots think their claim contradicts what DC residents are noticing:

They still only get the same daily number as MPD gets (and those numbers are normally higher in wards 7 and 8).

They still are predominantly placing guards in NW and avoiding most areas where crime actually occurs. I am sure they go to other wards when a call comes in, hence arrest, but active guarding of hot spots? Nope!

If they aren’t arresting more people and everything is normal, what’s the problem? Surely you aren’t scared of some kids from the sticks.

DC is chocolate city so yes armed people from the sticks are alarming, you another MAGA troll from MA or some other distant place posting here like the idiot who doxxed himself accidentally this morning when he shared an instagram video? (Since deleted)

It's fine. Relax.

Watched the first video. What is your point exactly? Do you think Trump’s intention is cleansing DC of groups of people?

They are speaking out with gratitude that federalized police force is loitering around M St. Georgetown and other safe places? They aren’t actually going anywhere that there is high crime or drive by shootings. It’s political theater.

Maybe, just maybe, the Guard in Georgetown frees up MPD to go elsewhere in the city?

No. Just crowds the sidewalks.

Civil war threads are Russian prop.

OTOH , Americans need to study the horrors of the civil war. Not the war tech / consequences at the time. The horror of fellow Americans fighting each other.

Good night.

LOL, no, that isn't how this is working. Stop making excuses for authoritarianism.

Federal prosecutors in D.C. have been instructed not to seek felony charges against people who are carrying rifles or shotguns in the nation’s capital, regardless of the strength of the evidence, according to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro.

What could go wrong?

Great, I heard that there have been a ton of kidnappings. People need to protect themselves and others.
