where do you live? maybe in a poor area? In my community it’s almost universal that the teens get their own car nearly immediately. what really shocks me is how many luxury cars teens here get. My son has a new car but it’s a Korean car. So many nice cars in the student parking lot at school. Jeeps, teslas, and expensive trucks. I can’t think of a single one of my kids friends who doesn’t have a car. Not 1.

I was solidly middle class, maybe even upper (my HHI growing up was about 200k if you adjust for inflation). The most my parents did was help with the down payment on a new car when I graduated college. They never gave me a car outright

Some of these really high posters might live out of state.

California has very high insurance rates. So do border towns with lots of uninsured illegal drivers.

She is marking up the cost of the fcps parking passes and behind the wheel by hundreds of dollars.

Her prices are exaggerated.

Our insurance rate increased $78 when we added both of our kids to our policy with Geico.
