Yup. WSJ just dropped a doozie. . . |
Oh, well there we have it! Good grief, do you people hear yourselves? My mom is 83 and has very swollen ankles. Look at the ankles of many elderly people and they will be swollen. This is absolutely typical. |
He might be taking blood thinners for this also. That could explain the bruising. |
Ok cool. That’s the only way it makes sense. |
According to the NIH about 20% of older adults (ages 50 plus) have Peripheral edema, which is the symptom, swelling in the lower extremities. The NIH did a study in 2016 and found it more prevalent in older age, females, non-white races, people with low wealth, obese, hypertensive, diabetes, pain, low activities. This study was done every four years since 2000 and results have been consistent. Causes of this swelling include venous deficiencies, heart failure, kidney or liver disease and certain medications. Pregnant women can retain water which causes the swelling. M https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8675752/ |
My dad has leg swelling like that, but it was due to poor circulation and an enlarged heart — he also has dementia. I think Trump’s purported diagnosis is a lie, that he has a more serious hart problem (and dementia). |
And diminished cognitive abilities also “absolutely typical” for an 80 yo |
We definitely know it's a lie. He and his administration are incapable of telling the truth. And we can reason why (to distract from him being in the Epstein files), but this isn't the type of diagnosis that would merit the kind of sympathy he's looking for. |
I think it’s a distraction — it’s a small enough diagnosis to distract, but not large enough to believe he is not physically fit for office, like saying he has anemia when he really has cancer. Obviously we don’t know where the truth lies, but I am not confident they are telling the whole truth. |
+1 |
His desperate supporters will try anything to distract from this, including pretending that child rape and trafficking isn’t serious. I guess you’d have to feel that way, to vote for the orange pedo. |
The foot dragging is a common sign of FTD (a type of dementia). My guess is that he is stage five or six for dementia. https://www.caring.com/symptoms/alzheimers-symptoms/walks-with-a-shuffle |
Yep, a pedo in my community tried this. Showed up at his hearing in a wheelchair. He was on his 40s with no known health problems. It is a strategy to look like a weak old man who couldn’t hurt a fly even if he tried. |
Good grief do you hear YOURself? For the last 8 years we've been told that Trump is 6'3" and 225lbs and in "extraordinary" health and that "he could live to be 200" and we've been bombarded with a constant barrage of images, posters, memes and merch depicting Trump as the epitome of health, strength and fitness. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And now you want to gaslight us and pretend none of that happened and that we are being unreasonable and out of line for pointing out what we've always been pointing out, that he's old and obese and not in good physical health and that the MAGA portrayal of his health is and has always been false. |
