Criminals seem to ignore the existing laws. It's not clear how another law will fix this.

There's definitely, unquestionably, elements of wishful thinking combined with grass is greener on the other side of the fence mentality going on here, along with strong political blinders.

My own two are:

1. Lack of an European style mass transit network. Love being able to hop on trains feeding into regional trains feeding into local transits to get to most places. Switzerland is amazing in this regard.

2. While doesn't affect me directly, cost of higher education is clearly an issue for the country, so will let this be the number 2.

Switzerland is about the size of Vermont. Most Americans could walk across that.

Most Americans are overweight and have a hard time walking across a Walmart parking lot.
If this question came up in Mississippi, the answers might be

1. Not enough mobility scooters. I had to fite for mine at Wal-mart to get my super big bag of cheese puffs and double-fudge gallon of ice cream.

2. Too many snooty liberals pollutin’ the constitution. They’re gonna turn us communist if they take away our guns.

1. Wealth disparity. (Yes there is so much opportunity,…… but it seems like beauty is rewarded vs. depth, ingenuity, advancement, advancement for many)

2. Joking immature attitude about education. I see it all the time. I could write an essay about this. We all see it when kids laugh at how they didn’t study, laugh at teachers. We’ve all been there. Just last night, my friend was questioning another friend’s procedure…it seemed like the doctors were “inconsistent” with recommendations, and it was a laugh for my friend (not the one treated). She couldn’t wait to laugh and laugh at doctors. But in the area of treatment.. it’s just.. it’s not an exact science. Factors are quantity, age, unknown factors, time, etc etc etc. It’s just never going to be black and white. Because of her disdain for science and doctors’ attempt at figuring it out imperfectly, this is hilarious for my friend.

2. That we seem incapable of properly baking bread so that it taste good. Many European countries have this figured out. Can’t be that hard.

1. Our healthcare system. Some people get amazing care and it makes some people millionaires but it all kind of sucks for the lower third.
2. Education system's inability to stop chasing numbers and admit that too many of our kids don't attend class regularly, cannot read beyond the 6th grade level, cannot do basic algebra, don't understand how markets work, don't know the structure of our government and cannot write a 2-page paper on anything.

1. People who put hate of country before love of country.
2. Negative thinkers.

Good break goes stale super fast. The very expensive less preservative bread we get at the store molds in 2 days. Wonder bread and industrialized food production need long shelf stable things add to that all the corn subsidies and you get gross overly sweet bread.

OP IS SOCK-PUPPETING THE SH1+ OUT OF HER OWN THREAD.

She’s a real nut job who stalks DCUM and tries to turn every single issue into a gun-control screed.

She has seriously authored more than half the responses here.

1. Lack of universal health care.
2. Education System, public schools are overwhelmed.

The assault rifles are also a problem but that ship has already sailed.

Criticism of something that clearly isn't working is not hate. People who love the country want to make it better and change things when necessary.

Why are you so proud to ignore white collar crime? Or children being murdered at school?
