Not everyone likes sushi. Horrible idea. |
It is perfectly ok to bring a birthday cake or cupcakes to a restaurant for after the meal if you are already paying for a meal there. Go ahead and call the restaurant and ask. If you don’t want to, that’s fine. But someone who may be on a stricter budget and can’t afford for every kid to get a slice of cheesecake may appreciate this option. It is not a health violation or rude to the server. |
I think it really depends on your budget. At that age, we ordered out and did it at home because my daughter refused to cut out anyone from her “friend group.” We weren’t willing to go over $350, so concessions had to be made. We did give her options like a pizza party at a restaurant, but she chose fajitas from Guapos. Not sure if they still have it, but they had a fajita deal that included the chips, salsa, and fajitas for a relatively decent price. We they had a cupcakes from somewhere that she was craving. Kids had a great time, I still did no cooking, and price was in target. |
I always see groups of teens at Benihan celebrating at Benihana whether it’s birthdays or homecoming. |
The Blackwell Barn & Lodge Merriweather District - Columbia MD Very nice area for large parties. |
We did this with the family style takeout from uncle Julio’s. Got enchiladas and fajitas, and then could fill out with drinks and fruit and guac we bought ourselves. Kid chose a cheap cake (Costco or carvels or something) so that helped too. We ended up with tons of leftover beans and rice that I froze and had for dinners for a while after. Another idea is the hot pot places where you pay a set fee, so at least you know what the price will be. Those places are fun and have big tables so they won’t mind a group of teens. My teens love those places. |
