Trump’s Trip to Middle East

Trump is for sale to the highest bidder as a "businessman" and a greedy cheeto. So whomever offers him the most, delights him with praise curries his favor. It's not a forever thing with him - he can just as easily change his tune when you make him happy. He has no loyalty at all. He's lower than scum really cause he has no self dignity.

Jews gave him power/vote. Arabs will feed his ego and give him gifts. He's all about today who can make me happier? So I am not surprised at all by his love tour in ME. The Arabs are not stupid. It's not that hard to read Trump.

What is MUCH more interesting to me is how his current gamble in changing policy in ME will fare. It's an interesting one - it's pragmatic. We've tried to fight and hold a big stick which hasn't been effective as we'd want. So now we play good cop to see what happens. It is definitely harder for Iran to suck up strategically to Syria when they are no longer anti US. It's actually tactically smart. It's about ideology v practicality I suppose. We've never really done it this way before have we?

Will be interesting to see how Iran and the bad actors respond to all this..

The things that go on in the ME defy the gods in terms of ideology and morality - the evil that happens in world affairs anywhere is beyond imagination. But if stabilization in a part of the world, and one country's people can live in peace, it's a win. I don't condone his alliance with Syrians and the Saudis but I understand it - only if it works of course. It's a gamble but may be worth a try. There's a zillion bad things that go on every minute of every day - balancing the good with the bad is all you can do.

No leader in the ME hates the US. Iran wants to be our friend. So does Syria. They do not want to fight us. Somebody wants us fighting them

Much rather we be allied with the Saudis than Israel. One's killed a journalist while the other has killed more than 200 in just a short span and is committing a genocide. One's actually sending money to us rather than us sending billions away to them.

I’m glad Trump was able to clear through the noise and get the news directly from the horse’s mouth. I think Trump was greatly underestimated by the deep state. He wasn’t dumb enough to believe Iran was behind some 19 year old incel trying to shoot his head off. He’s very JfK like in this regard. A certain country wanted to be the only nuclear power in the middle East because it would be very hard to subjugate Palestinians if they have friends with nukes next door. It levels the playing field in a way that makes it harder for the certain country to claim military and technological exceptionalism. The first thing the certain country stole out of Syria when Assad left were the chemical weapons.

The Middle East was a non factor in WW and WW2. European refugees moved there for safety. What destabilized the ME was not oil as oil was being drilled in the late 1800s and early 1900s. What destabilized it was the creation of Israel and this Israel-Palestine conflict. It somehow bled into every single conflict you could think of in this region from Iraq to Iran to Syria to Lebanon to Yemen and entrenched us in it by default
