It's not just an economic issue. It's also cultural. Just need to look at the participation levels across different high schools. In high schools with large Hispanic populations, the boys teams have high participation but the girls teams have low participation. High schools with large Asian populations also have lower soccer participation. Some sports are more popular in certain communities. Not a lot of lacrosse being played in asia. And sports in general are more encouraged in some than others that might prefer to spend their resources on education rather than sports. |
Lol - I’m sure you know the difference between Chinese and Korean, Becky. |
Well yes I do and am definitely not a Becky. (not white or female ) Sorry this bothers you so much. |
A- I haven’t advocated for anything. I simply stated an obvious fact and the reason for it. Never made judgment. So the only person who is emotionally charged is you. B- I don’t engage in trying to hurl insults at people when debating. C- Bringing up said topic means I’m an ethnic minority? |
| no, you're just an idiot |

| Soccer has nothing on Competative Gymanstics, Hockey and Golf. Pick your poison. |
Don’t bother. Looking at his childish responses, what he really wants to say is it’s too diverse for him. He wants it to be more white. That’s all |

My DS went to the tryouts for a local club that is moving up to ECNL-RL in the fall. This club in his agree group currently plays in EDP 4. At the end of the session the coach quoted costs for the season of $10k with traveling to multiple flyaway showcases. For, once again, what is currently a mid-pack EDP 4 team. I nearly LOL'd at the ridiculousness of it all.
My DS had no intention of joining as he's at a higher level club. He just wanted to see and practice with some old club friends. |
Yeah the travel at lower levels is getting absurd. I know teams start to fall apart at mid-high school ages, but there has to be a better solution than a bunch of watered down leagues. |
너 바보 같아 |
yet some of the best players I've seen are latinas with family support. Definitely some clubs who embrace this. |
I know the difference too, guess you are language challenged. Still time to learn. |
+1 |
He doesn’t mean per player did he? |
