Omar and another man were charged with sexually assaulting a 16 year old who had run away from her foster care placement. (It's in the links.) The age of consent in Minnesota is 16, so calling him a pedophile is ridiculous. The charges were dropped, but even if he had been guilty, it's not pedophilia.

The family of the victimized child asked NAACP to close the gfm after it raised a total of $341,504. As a reminder, this fundraiser was not set up by the family. Some of the funds will directly assist them and some of the funds will be for systemic change.

Meanwhile Shiloh Hendrix, the woman who repeatedly screamed slurs and abuse at a 5 year old child and their family has raised well over $600k and still has her fundraiser up with a goal of $1m.
