Do you apply the same scrutiny to Blacks who call out racism? Or maybe you’ve missed the 87,000 posts in this board about “the Jews”? Just yesterday, we had a lovely reference to “the Jew York Times”. |
DP. There are some people who are anti-Jewish, and they ought to be called out. Overwhelmingly though, posts on this site have been critical of Israel and zionism (very fair), and I've seen minimal blaming everything on "the Jews." But when zionists start calling anything and everything "anti-Semitic" then the term becomes meaningless. |
I agree that there has been some “crying wolf”. Israel and its government are fair game for criticism. But you’re grossly understating the volume of actual anti-Semitism. Again, on this board alone, there have been literally thousands of overtly anti-Semitic posts. |
The desperate attempt to conflate antisemitism and anti-zionism is one of they key tactics Zionists use to suppress criticism. And there are literally thousands of examples of these kind of posts on this board alone. |
DP And again, what has often been called “overt anti-Semitism” on this board is a massive over-reach on what the term actually means. Example: Questioning why TF Antony Blinken wasn’t forced to recuse himself in the last administration from all matters related to Israel (including the Gaza War) is NOT anti-Semitic. Unless you would have had no objection to Rashida Tlaib actively overseeing FP in Blinken’s role at State, you have no right to blast accusations of anti-Semitism at anything that moves. |
There is no bail. Stop shouting your stupidity |
Washington Post disagrees with you. “Crawford, who was appointed to the federal bench by President Barack Obama, ordered Mahdawi released on bond while his federal habeas corpus petition and his immigration proceeding continue.” https://wapo.st/3EH81Y8 |
Agree. Especially when you consider that Arabs (and Palestinians) are Semitic people. If you insult Jews, it’s antisemitic. But if you insult Palestinians it’s okay (even if they are Semitic people). This is what happens when you have white/europeans deciding who gets protected status and who doesn’t. They can’t even get their race and ethnicities right. |
Do not - I REPEAT - do not blow the minds of the pro-Israel looney tunes crowd with the fact that FTO designations are just as subject to corruption as most important FP decisions that are made at State. |
