Obama endorsed Hillary over Biden, his own VP.
That's sayin' somethin'. |
You are assuming HRC would have sailed to reelection in 2012. It was a fairly close election even for Obama.
Though an HRC->Romney->Obama dynasty would have been a lot better than what ended up happening. |
I would have too. HRC was 10x the POTUS candidate Biden was. We saw this very clearly when they went head to head in 2008. Circumstance as they were, Biden was gifted a presidential term by Trump, HRC had POTUS terms stolen by Obama and Trump. |
Dang right! That scenario wasn't an assumption of an HRC victory in 2012 but no doubt an HRC loss in 2012 would have left us with a normal GOP POTUS until January 2017 when a seasoned and primed juggernaut Obama would have taken over until January 2025. I understand how some Americans were conned into MAGA in 2016 but it's difficult to imagine Trump being taken seriously enough to get his movement started if it was starting at 77 years old. A lot to ponder about the past. The best we can do is learn from it and not repeat mistakes. |
It wouldn’t have mattered because racist Trump wouldn’t have run for president. We may have had another GOP, but it wouldn’t be Trump. Then Obama would hang easily won in 2016. |
I hope so. Meloni is tough as nails. |
|
Yup. She did the job for a while there. |
Goddamn, stop talking about that pos show handmaids tale already. HRC would've been POTUS and not Trump if she hadn't effed up her own campaign. |
No, not her. Think more recent |
Yep, Obama would have won easily at any point in time between 2008 and 2024. It would have been best for the country if his time had come a little later than 2008. Learn from mistakes is the best we can do. |
Sounds like the OP is describing Sarah Palin! |
Respectfully, I disagree with OP. I think the first female president will be a Democrat. I cannot imagine the same party that chose Trump as their leader would support a woman candidate. |
The OP is a sexist crack head. The first woman POTUS will be POTUS because she is the best person for the job at the time she seeks the position. Being the best person for the job at the time you seek the position isn't always a guarantee of victory (just ask HRC about 2008) but eventually the odds will fall in the favor of the best person for the job. |
+1. People vote for who they want to vote for. By now we should realize that qualifications are not that important to Americans. An HRC presidency could have led to Trump as well (backlash just like the Obama backlash). |
