More people seek the Democratic endorsement for at-large School Board seats than there are seats.

Getting an endorsement in advance from the Victory Fund, an LBGTQ group, before the Democrats voted to endorsed helps a candidate get the FCDC endorsement.

McDaniel declared he was bisexual, got the Victory Fund endorsement, and then ended up getting one of the three FCDC endorsements for an at-large seat.

The School Board members make $48K for a part-time job. It looks like McDaniel was cash-strapped and/or greedy, so he may have well been willing to make such a public disclosure to get elected and pick up the extra cash.

Aaand at least one of his strip club visits was during a FCPS paid school board boondoggle trip to New Orleans.

Why are we taxpayers paying money to fly our school board to party in New Orleans and hang out at stip clubs, when they cry they don't have enough money to pay our teachers a liveable wage or educate our most vulnerable older special needs students?

Not a single cent of our tax money should be used for an independent investigation, nor any legal fees related to this case. McDaniel and the School Board can pay out of pocket for this since they are the ones interested in maintaining him in the School Board.

Also, in Virginia, embezzlement is considered a form of larceny, which can lead to criminal charges, ranging from misdemeanor to felony depending on the value of the property or funds embezzled. 

There is an unconfirmed report that another School Board member was with McDaniel on one of his strip club jaunts. Maybe that’s why FCPS has just been sitting on this.

Laura Jane Cohen did it too.

It is an easy way for local dem candidates to get boatloads of money from California PACs. Super easy. Just post a big sanctimonious coming out as bisexual or gender fluid on their social media page, get the enndorsements and funding.

They don't actually have to be bisexual or gender fluid, because no one is actually going to check. They just need to make their "brave" big public pronouncement.

It is similar to when all those college guys crashed the female identifying only engineering job fair a few years ago by claiming to be nonbinary.

At the time McDaniel's announcement looked shady and opportunistic. Now that this is public, it is clear that he is that and much more

A spokesperson for McDaniel released an official statement on his behalf:

"This is an ongoing business dispute between my former business partner and myself. I’m going to let this play out in the courts where I intend to prevail, and not in the press."

How shocking that his former business partner would take issue with Kyle stealing company funds for strip clubs, family vacations, and his school board campaign. Kyle seems like he's on solid ground here.

About what you’d expect in terms of an official statement.

The real issue is what, if any, pressure is being exerted on McDaniel behind the scenes by local Democrats.

They should not want him around by the time of the fall 2025 elections. With all the shit Trump is doing, the Democrats will be well positioned to win the state elections, and they don’t need someone like McDaniel embarrassing them and eating into their margins in Fairfax.
