Are you sure?? Someone who visited there recently told me it’s a HOT MESS.

I am sure that person said it in jest.

I have heard nothing but bad things from MVMS.

That’s the school last year, along with Watkins Mill, that made the news about parents coming onto school grounds to fight students. It’s absolutely not a school with good energy.

And it doesn’t help when admin tells teachers not to call the office for help when certain kids terrorise the class.
This year has been crazy in our down county lower elementary school. This great little school has completely gone drown the drain. It’s divide and conquer policy, with admin’s inner circle getting all kinds of perks while other teachers get mistreated and bullied. It is done so blatantly that even these little kids are realizing that Mrs. Principal is friends with such a teacher but does not like another one.

I’m shocked someone said Paint Branch. I thought that was bottom of the barrel.

PB does not have good school culture. Just look at their school climate data. The PP is lying to you.

RHS parent here, the schools in our cluster are great. The only downsides are the high school itself and the middle school. Wood is what makes it more worse compared to the others in our cluster

I agree that Wood is weak, but my kids have been happy with RHS.

Magruder parent here, I feel like our clusters middle school is worse than yours but I have three friends who go to Rockville and all of them said that their kids had good experienced at the middle school, but the safety was horrible and the school as a whole was kinda wretched. Our MS is Shady Grove and both middle schools can compare in the same level with each other.

What has your experience been like at shady grove ES? We feed into forest oak but considering a COSA to shady grove middle

PB climate and culture are really struggling. I think it’s been hard to adjust to 2 new Principals 2 years in a row.

I don’t, but that seems to be the general consensus in DCUM Land.

I disagree.

I worked there many years ago and I have had a friend who had kids there somewhat recently. It's a smaller school with some teachers who have been there many years. The kids are nice. I would choose it over Forest Oak. But if you are in the Magruder Cluster, I would pick Redland first.

Don’t go to Forest Oak. It’s horrific. So much chaos in that school and poor administration.

WMHS does have good energy, isolated incidents outside their control don't take that away from the school

We have loved Northwood and don't even mind the extra commute to the holding school. great community.
