Republicans - why do you hate people like me?

Democrats never pushed trans. That’s a Republican lie. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/25/health/transgender-minors-surgeries.html

I dare say few to no Republicans have any issue with you. You have a green card, so you are here legally. You are not advocating for the violent overthrow of a U.S. ally, so you're not engaging in activity inimical to this country's interests. You're not patently antisemitic and consequently unworthy of living among civilized people. You're not breaking any of our laws.

You're fine. Be welcome. Don't succumb to hysteria fostered by ignorant doomsayers.

But, you still think she is a lazy fed using taxpayer dollars to do nothing. So the point stands. Why do you hate them?

But, you have no idea what I think, or why...nor have I ever expressed hate for "them".

I know everything sucks right now, but why are you terrified? You can go back to Canada, which is a perfectly fine place to live. Arguably a lot better than the US at this time! It's not like you're at risk of being sent to Venezuela or something.

Why isn't she at risk? The Venezuelan guys deported to El Salvador were not from there. They were present in the US legally, and now they're in prison in a country they'd never been to. With no trial.

And that's putting aside the legitimate fear of losing your house, job, funds, and community. It's not a minor thing to be kicked out of the place you live, even if you get to go to a nice country.

They were NOT in the US legally...where do you people get this garbage info?
They are in prison because they are criminals.

NP. I’m a Democrat and you need to get out of your drama queen bubble. This is ridiculously overwrought.

Np. I doubt you are a Democrat.

I am so sick of you blue cultists that proclaim any person who doesn’t pledge extreme allegiance to your cult to be not a Democrat. You are destroying our party.

The OP needs to get a grip. And so do you.

I honestly don't know how you don't see that the US on the path to full authoritarianism. They are detaining people with tourist visas for days and not giving a reason. Sending individuals with no criminal records, no evidence of crimes, in compliance with asylum processes, to a prison in El Salvador. Deporting people with green cards because they don't like their speech. They ignore court orders, have a drug addled unappointed rando giving orders, want to make it illegal to literally exist as a trans person, I could go on. I know it is hard to accept how bad things are getting. They are choking our freedoms slowly and it is easier just to go on about our lives without worrying about the people who can't.

The minute you wrote this abject nonsense, you discredited the rest of what you wrote. Get a grip. Hearing the word “no” occasionally does not mean making it illegal to literally exist. The entitlement is off the charts.

This is what they want: https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-politics-and-policy/texas-bill-identify-transgender-state-felony-rcna195642

They have already made it really difficult for trans people to travel internationally
https://www.npr.org/2025/02/21/nx-s1-5300880/trump-passport-policy-trans-gender-intersex-nonbinary

They do not want trans people to exist, that is not an exaggeration.

Oh. You are insane. Well, good luck with that.

You don't think trans people have a right to exist as trans people? That's pretty extreme.

I don’t think that having birth sex recorded accurately on a legal document means trans people don’t have a right to exist. In fact I think that conflation is absolutely insane, and those that are hyperventilating about recording the basic fact of birth sex on a legal document come across as extremely entitled and spoiled.

Boxer Imane Khelif was born a girl, has female on her birth certificate, grew up as a girl, spent her whole life as a girl. Worked her ass off to become a competitive boxer. Won a fight and deranged anti-trans jerks falsely accused her of being a transwoman, made death threats and everything else.

I didn’t realize Khelif — who almost certainly has a DSD — was American. Huh. The things you learn.

If you are in the country legally, Republicans don't hate you. If you are in the country illegally but follow the laws, we don't hate you personally, but we hate the prior administrations for opening the doors to a wave of immigrants that the country can't afford and have no legal right to be here. We would respect you just fine so long as you go peacefully back to your home country. If you are a gang member, drug cartel member, terrorist, left wing radical, murderer, rapist, etc., then your question answers itself. Hope this helps!

Republicans are racists. Why should some white woman have any more right to a house in America than a Guatemalan man?

Absolutely nothing has been proven to show that Khelif is anything but a biological female. Your "almost certainly" is bullshit, the same kind of Karen bullshit that keeps emerging when deranged lunatics scream at biological women who don't, by your standards, look feminine enough when they go into the ladies room.

And her citizenship is also irrelevant given there were many deranged, criminal Americans making death threats. You do know it's a felony in most US jurisdictions to threaten to harm or kill someone, right?

FFS. It absolutely IS NOT. Look around you. Read some ACTUAL news, not the right wing fake news. Republicans are detaining and deporting all kinds of people who are legally in the US. Republicans are even illegally detaining Germans here on visa.

You are so ignorant and oblivious it isn't even funny. I can't imagine being so absolutely ignorant about American politics and presuming to post on a political message board. It's like a toddler going on a forum about space exploration telling others you think the moon is made of green cheese.

You should be embarrassed. Please, just go away, do some reading, and don't come back here until you actually have a clue what you're talking about.

We used to unify ourselves by hating the Soviet Union. When the iron curtain fell, we saw that hatred turn inward and racism spiked again.

We hated Muslims after 9/11 and others again felt a sense of unity. That has faded.

So we turned on one another by political party.

Offshoots of that include progressives hating police. That hatred generated a lot of momentum that made people feel antiracist and therefore provided a sense of unity, particularly against the racists.

And now, MAGA has turned conservatives against government employees. It has generated a lot of momentum to focus on dismantling the feds, making another group of people feel righteous, again providing a sense of unity.

I'm not sure why we must de-humanize different groups to make ourselves feel better about ourselves. But it seems to be an enduring American trait.

Stop making it into a personal attack. MAGA is not against government employees, we're against the NGO's & offshoots of the government that are stealing OUR money. And we're not going to get lectured to by those of you that have been virtue-signaling & dehumanizing anyone that doesn't conform and fall into lockstep with destructive ideologies & policies the left has been pushing for the past decade. Try some introspection instead.

Perhaps you should take your own advice. For you, both some research and introspection are in order. If you can't argue about real issues and real facts, don't come on here and waste our time with parroting GOP lies. NGOs are not stealing your money. If you don't like how Congress appropriated it, talk to your Congressional rep.

You are the one lecturing and you are doing it from a BS soapbox build on GOP propaganda.
