Bless your heart. It’s on TMZ and People now. Media outlets were just alerted this morning, and it’s Sunday morning. But, you’re racist, so.

I truly hope she is safe and they find her.

I hope we are wrong and the press keeps up the coverage but it’s a fact that missing brown and black girls don’t receive the same amount of press as missing white girls.

PP you're responding to. Agree that was the case. It's not longer the case. Let's move on from the past, let go of virtue signaling and anger and old liberal talking points and focus on sending well wishes to her family and pray that she returns home safely. If you're really that concerned, you'd redirect the time you spent googling left leaning data and you'd be emailing news outlets with her info instead. You're just salivating to turn this into an issue of racism. Let's keep this productive.

Well said.

Ok not really shocked because…

It was just featured in People and TMZ. Your narrative is stupid.

As well as ABC, USA Today, Fox News, NBC, New York Post, News Nation, CBS, etc. It's all over the media.

Shut the fuuuu up. Nancy Grace wasn’t talking about this poor girl last night.

You shut up, loser. I live in the community. There wasn’t a push to get this on media until late yesterday, early this morning.

If it was Sally Blue Eyes, it would’ve been all over the news YESTERDAY.
Your name calling is uncouth. Why does where you live matter at all?

It's a pretty common vacation destination.

It sounds like she drowned while swimming at night, which is a mistake people make everywhere, happens at US beaches, too.

It's taken 3 days for this to hit the media. She's a lovely, brilliant young woman - hope they find her.

Are they not US citizens then?

No, they are Indian citizens who moved here to send their kid to Thomas Jefferson.

Couldn't they have dual citizenship?

They could, but they don't. Legal permanent resident status, their country of citizenship (India) will represent the family.

You’re wrong.

You’re an idiot.

You’re must not have read the links; the very first one is from December 2024. This problem is not over.

See how I can argue my point without name calling?

You provided partisan news articles. No statistics. That being said, I do agree in the past this was an issue. Even the articles you provided refer to missing persons cases from years ago. People that are successful now getting media attention for missing people are those that reach out to the media, have connections, etc. Color is not an issue, especially since so much attention the past few years has been brought to racial inequities with media time.

I’ve watched in real time how this family and friends have done a great job doing this. It is certainly a possibility that some communities don’t have the tools or knowledge to reach out to the media, and receive less attention for this reason. But no information you provided demonstrates that that is currently happening intentionally.

You told me to shut the f up, so you can stuff the faux pearl clutching.

Because I’m in the community I’ve been watching how family and friends made sure to get media coverage. They’ve done a great job, and that’s why there’s been coverage. Not because she’s brown, white, blue, or pink.

Aside from all of this, I pray she is found healthy and that her family can find some peace during this process.

DP. Maybe it's because the police report makes it probable that she drowned.

Yes but it started popping up early yesterday. It's now on the news +36 hours later.
