No. It is not. As a parent that has been to almost every club ID over the years, it is not. Most club girls know the other girls from past club affiliations, ODP, etc. They welcome their acquaintances/friends and are friendly at the IDs. This is not the case at ARL. The girls are sh!ts and the parents that think this is normal are creating this environment. Understand this is a bad culture that everyone else sees and judges you for. But do understand, everyone sees the kids are uncharacteristically awful and only you think it is normal. We judge you, your kids, and the coaches. Stop normalizing this mean girl environment. It is not normal, it is not usual at other clubs, it is just pathetic. Anyone that excuses this behavior as normal needs to get out of the ARL bubble or look in the mirror. It is not typical teen behavior seen at other clubs. Only you think that.

+1 The mean girl attitude is strong at Arlington. Definitely not that way at other club tryouts.

Who cares! They will be in a competitive league with the same player pool. All these clubs are doing just fine and making money either way yet you feed the hype hysteria. Eveyone should know there is no hype to any of this and none of this really matters. Just play the game and help your kid get better if they let you, otherwise get out the way. Its there life.

Arlington on the girls side has always been about “developing” fullbacks. If your best player is a fullback your team will struggle.

A couple of points. I think this was sent in response to rumors like the ones on this board. Second, it is actually great that a club is telling people what is going on. Finally, why would they not be in ECNL next year? Sure if ecnl falls apart but other than on this board most people think GA is in rough shape. The agreement with MLSNext was desperation. The agreement says nothing, promises nothing, and does nothing except let GA offer false hope. McLean moved because they were mad at ECNL. NVA moves makes sense only is it is followed by 20-30 ecnl clubs moving to GA. The numbers are going to go in the other direction.

Yup, step outside of the NoVA bubble and there is absolutely no massive movement from ECNL->GA nationwide.
