Haha I am very pro February break, but this would not be what I meant. |

Too early to predict (and this thread has been going for days!). Per CWG:
Wednesday into Thursday. There’s potential for a major storm, but confidence in how much accumulation we see in the D.C. area is still low as the storm track remains uncertain. Highs both days in the upper 20s to mid-30s. Confidence: Low Snow potential index — 6/10 (↑): Chance of snow Wednesday-Thursday has climbed above 50/50. Still hard to say whether the storm will be memorable, middling or a miss. |
Weird. Why would his or anyone's photo need to be on side of a bus? Why are they marketing a meteorologist? |
As long as there is a good side to the law |
For the same reason they like to share which on air personalities grew up locally, the same reason they have them chitchat with each other on air, the same reason they announce/congratulate employees on their weddings and the births of their children on air…if viewers dislike a tv personality, they change the channel, but if they find them warm, personable, relatable, credible, entertaining, they keep tuning in and get to feel like they know these people. Kammerer is personable and charming on air. He once was covering a storm on air and a tornado was predicted to pass directly over his own house. He knew his son was home alone (he didn’t share that part at the time), so he called his son on air and told him to go to their basement and then kept reporting. People ate that up. |
| Models are looking much lighter. Nothing showing 1 foot anymore from what I'm seeing. This could be a bust and more typical 3-7 inches. Will see. |
And which ones are you looking at? |

Thank goodness. |
I know...having to deal with those kids you chose to have is so exhausting! |
This isn't a good side. Going from January 2-April 11 without longer than a 3-day weekend is horrible! Three breaks that are a week or longer with winter break being 2 weeks is the way to do it. If it's more than some of that time could be better off saved for summer. If it's less it's too long a stretch either before or after spring break. Schools in the south have spring break in March but they end in May or very early June. Those schools start in early to mid-August and have the week of Thanksgiving off as a result. Schools that end in mid-late June should have a week off in February and April since only April makes the winter a long slog and only March results in the final 11 or 12 weeks with only 2 certain days off. The really strange thing in Maryland (and Northern Virginia) is that spring break isn't at a fixed time but determined based on when Good Friday and Easter occurs. This year it's mid-late April (April 14-21) but next year it starts in March (March 30-April 6). In 2027 things are really crazy as Good Friday is March 26/Easter March 28 so either they'll go with the week after Easter like they used to in early Easter years or the post spring break stretch in 2027 will be SUPER LONG with 12 weeks and possibly only 2 or 3 days off in that stretch! |
