| As long as the car is parked legally, who cares? |
There are plenty of reasons for students to drive. They may have after-school activities or jobs, or are responsible for a younger sibling, or take MC classes, or have an internship. |
It happened, so trying to diminish it. Most Woodmonr residents moved the after the school was built. I have plenty of experience living in an area with very busy street parking and no drive. In fact much busier Street parking than in the streets surrounding Blair and also not just during school hours. Did I blame anyone, anyone at all when I had to park blocks away from my home, or when delivery people or contractors struggled to work out where to park? ABSOLUTELY NOT! And I certainly didn’t smear shit on the car of the or innocent person who just happened to park outside my house at that time. It’s a public street. This is life. What I’m hearing is that the public street outside your home is for the convenience of homeowners only to 1) park their themselves or 2) be empty at all times in case a delivery person needs to park there? Is that correct? Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? |
No, they can't. All parking in SFC for many blocks in is residential permit parking only. And it is strictly enforced. $100 tickets. |
Good for SFC! Follow their lead, Woodmoor. |
| I live in Woodmoor. The only thing that bothers me is when the kids just cross University Blvd anytime, anywhere. I’m so scared I’m going to hit someone, though that doesn’t seem to be as bad as it used to be. |

dog poop bags in the grill of the car- not smeared, just pressed in, still in bag
Dog poop bag in hood of car Dog poop bag inside the car on the drivers side floor I know the child these things happened to. It must be just one crazy neighbor. I don’t believe all of Woodmoor is like that. But I agree they should get really strict parking restrictions if they don’t want students parking there. |
I interpreted this as “smeared”, but I guess that was wrong? “Before winter break there was poop (no bag) on the windshield wipers.” |

Here is the process for obtaining Montgomery County Restricted Residential Parking Permits:

Assuming they wised up and started locking their car after the first incident where the inside of the car was accessed (in the hood, or on the floor), presumably the car was broken into in order to place at least one of these bags. You need to have access to the interior to pop the hood. Did the child or parents call the police? What was their response? |
To be clear, this thread is discussing the problem that one student has had with her car and it may be one, or maybe more than one neighbor. I hope the student moved to another street to park on. There are options. |
My kid needed to drive because the country doesn’t have buses for the sports teams so the upperclassmen need to drive to get the kids to away games. I was really irritated by this. Also kids need to drive if they are in dual enrollment or have internships. The county outsources a lot of the education. |
ON the hood- typo, sorry. The one time it was in the car on the floor she’d left the car unlocked. She was able to move up in the queue for school parking because she told admin at Blair that she was being harassed in the neighborhood. |
| There was more than one student targeted by these attacks. |
Maybe Blair parents should advocate to the BOE for a parking garage for their students. |
