Neighbors harassing Blair students

Anonymous
Hearing shocking reports of Blair neighbors harassing students legally parking in the neighborhood. Smearing dog shit on their cars, leaving bags of poop in the car grill, on the car and even inside it, leaving threatening notes and yelling at students.

What gives? Does anyone live in the neighborhood? Is there a Facebook page or list serv where residents have discussed this? It’s obnoxious and cruel.

Nope.
How do you know it’s neighbors and how do you know all the cars are legally parked?

Do you think it’s ok to smear dog shit on a car if it’s not legally parked?
Or to walk out of your house and yell at a teen and threaten them?

Reports are that all cars were parked legally at all times. I know nothing more than what is reported but it certainly sounds like neighbors and even if there was a parking irregularity its not ok to smear shit on someone’s car, is it?

No it’s not ok.
But just because someone said it doesn’t make it true.
I have a hard time believing a person smeared dog shit on a car in broad daylight that was legally parked. No it’s not ok if it’s illegally parked but I don’t live near a HS where entitled kids park however they like day after day instead of getting a school parking pass

It happens around neighborhoods by other HS too.

School parking passes are limited. Blair is lucky to have Metro and RideOn bus lines nearby so fewer students *need* to drive.

This sounds made up. IF it happened, it was probably once and because a student blocked a driveway or something.

Why would you post on here when there is a whole thread going on on the school listserv already

The parking lot is covered with portables. There are likely very few spots for students available. I think students street parking is just part of living near a HS. Residents can request 2 hour parking limits but then their own guests are limited.

I wouldn’t want to live next to that zoo, you think the kids aren’t a nuisance. If the is was typical teenager defiant I think the dog poop is the perfect response.

What if it wasn’t? What if it was your quiet, polite law- abiding kid who is careful to always park legally?

Because it certainly sounds like that’s the case. And it’s not just one kid/car that’s been targeted but multiple.

Not my kid as mine isn’t old enough to drive, but I still think it’s completely inexcusable.

It’s very difficult for students to get parking passes.

Is the school listserv anonymous?

Very few students “need” to drive given that there are school buses.

Sadly it’s definitely true, and has happened to several students.
