What a horrible take! Trump seeks to inflict pain and suffering on as many people as possible. We should be supporting and uplifting, not wishing this on others.

DP. No, we need the maximum number of people to personally feel the pain if we are to ever right the ship. This is a good thing.

So all who thought it wasn't THAT bad his first time, it'll just be more of the same this time, how you feeling now?

When all of this is said and done, remember which representatives stood up for you and who didn’t and vote accordingly.

If would be great if Jeff could remove this person's posts. It is clearly the same person continuing to post on all the threads about federal workers and contracts being worried that it is "good" and they should feel "pain." It's disgusting.

Excuse me? I’m a federal employee and I’m feeling the pain. So far, most people outside of the federal workforce have no idea what is happening and what is coming down the pipeline. We’re the only ones whose day to day lives have already been affected. No one else will care until it affects them too.

No, this is actually my first post. I think this is horrendous and Trump is nothing but evil but he won't be stopped until his base really hurts. It has to get worse before it gets better.

Must be doing this to get a challenge to the Impoundment Control Act to the Supreme Court ASAP.

This.

MAGA has been whining about federal spending for years and how they “get nothing”. They are about to find out and it looks like it will be quite a surprise.

Will they though? Will THiS be it??

They'll be upset, but somehow won't blame Trump. Then they will elect some Dems and completely forget what happened this time.

Are these people so full of hubris that they think they will have permanent executive and legislative power? Because if the SC rules in their favor now, a Dem president can use these to further their priorities overriding Congressional appropriations. Chevron deference is gone, presidential immunity is legit etc. The arc of history and all that....

What about NIH grants that fund clinical trials?

You can’t just stop clinical trials in the middle without compromising subject safety.

My understanding is that these have, functionally, already been stopped.

I feel like they are just throwing all the spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks. Also, they may know more than we do about how fully compromised the Supreme Court is?

Its funny how one sided dcum is, all of this is seen as funding the swamp. A lot of people are happy its stopped.

Why. It's not like they're going to see any personal benefit financially. Any money not spent on research goes directly to Trump. They could have benefited from some of the research. They do not benefit from Trump getting richer.
