What weird food habits do you have?

What recipe do you use?

I won’t eat savory food that has any sweet flavors, or hint of sweet flavors. No BBQ sauce or ketchup or sugar or honey or fruit/jam or glaze in or on anything savory. Even caramelized onions are too sweet sometimes. I’m a huge foodie so this can actually be quite limiting - lots of world cuisines involve some sort of sweet element in their savory cooking.

I’m not the biggest dessert person, but sweet and salty desserts (like a chocolate chip cookie with sea salt or a peanut butter brownie) are fine. Just nothing sweet in savory foods.

Some people like sour cream in soup but I think whole fat Greek yogurt is even better. I also put it into a lot of baked goods (pancakes, muffins) and think it’s fantastic for flavor/moisture.

I do that too with plain coconut yogurt vegan sour cream or tahini.

I prefer all of my food to be mixed. Casseroles are my obvious favorite, but even on a normal dinner plate I will put a little bit of everything on my fork and eat it at once. I hate eating just one type of food at a time.

Obviously you are a villain

I’m kind of OCD about taking condiments out of the fridge well before meals so they come to room temp. I don’t want to put cold stuff on hot food.

Graham crackers with grape jelly. Jelly, not jam. With a big glass of cold milk!

Lays potato chips dipped in ketchup!

Dill pickles and peanut butter. Fight me!

Another peanut butter lover. I need a spoonful out of the jar before I go up to bed or before a workout (or both). Trader Joes, natural, crunchy. I never put it on anything.

I buy 4 or 5 pints of blueberries every week for just myself. (They get dumped on plain yogurt and oatmeal daily).

I put exorbitant amounts of Reddiwhip on my afternoon espresso but otherwise drink my coffee black

I had to wean myself off my beloved tuna fish sandwiches of my youth, when I learned that there was too much heavy metal contamination in large fish. I ate so many!

I occasionally make an ersatz with canned salmon... but it's not the same.

Late at night, I sometimes get a kimchi/chips craving, which I eat with chopsticks (I'm Asian). I love the flavor of kimchi paired with the crispy chips texture. But I'm careful not to eat too much of it - too salty.

I also love tuna and would eat it every day if it weren't for the whole mercury problem. I especially love a really ripe giant summer jersey tomato stuffed with tuna salad.

I love tuna salad too. I'm down to once a month. I make them for a women's shelter, but really I make them for me. So good.

Adding to the chorus of love for tuna salad.

I love it, but I’m also very picky about it. I won’t eat just anyone’s. I haven’t eaten a restaurant tuna sandwich in over a decade.

Hello, soul sister. Same with the TJ peanut butter. I also go through several pints of berries per week. While I don’t use whipped cream on espresso, I totally would. I love whipped cream and make my own, but my kids eat it too quickly

Treat my late dad introduced me to, so it makes me smile just thinking about it.

I love pretzels in ice cream! I add the pretzel goldfish to ice cream and let it melt just a tiny bit. So good.

I love this combo. Sometimes I swipe a preztel rod through the bowl of ice cream, and sometimes I crush pretzels and use as a topping to the bowl. I don’t consider this weird!

My 2 unusual ones are - that I love vinegar so much, sometimes I drink spoonfuls of it or add it to my seltzer, and relatedly I sometimes add pickle brine to my seltzer; and, I inspect wheat thins before I eat so I can make sure that the top goes into my mouth facing upwards (that’s probably an ocd thing vs a food weirdness).

I drink milk. Just regular 2% milk. I have a big glass a day.

I don’t know anyone that does this and it seems like it’s probably embarrassing so I keep this hidden. Only my husband knows

I run my finger over the bowl and lick my finger, not lick the actual bowl.

Finger licken good

I hope you don’t do this in public
