| I wonder if schools will fear him enough to actually take fewer qualified black students. |
? that would be lawsuit material. Color of skin should not and better not be a consideration used by colleges when determining who to accept and not to accept. If/when it happens, I would completely advocate for the plaintiff in a lawsuit and I hope everyone else would too. And again, we don't need our two-bit president elect telling us this for it to be true. |
This is not how civil rights are advanced. The justice department and legislation usually gets involved. A random lawsuit here and there are meaningless, nothing short of a federal crackdown on federal funding and non-profit status would do the trick. If Trump can get these colleges and universities to stop racially discriminating against asians, I will take back everything I ever said about him and vote Republican the rest of my life and teach my children and their children to be conservative Republicans. But I think the earth will fall into the sun before these schools stop discriminating. They think they are on the side of the angels and willingly die on that hill. |
No, but they might take fewer unqualified black students. About half the black kids would not be there under a race blind process. |
Are you suggesting that our colleges and universities are discriminating against Asians within their applicant acceptance protocols? That's sounds absurd. I went to college with lots of Asians. Citations to support your claim? |
This isn't true. |
The poster you are responding to is likely a troll still repeating Edward Blum's talking points, forgetting we have the results of their no more Affirmative Action in college admits and it didn't hurt Black people like they hoped. |
Pretty sure the college acceptance protocols in this country are race blind protocols. Not sure where your paranoia is coming from. |
| So your post op is a total lie he says nothing about that in the video but you know that. |
+1 You won't get a response. Notice how no one provided his actual quote when asked? Because they can't. And yet, this thread hasn't been deleted. |
Here’s the quote. I answered you in website feedback as well. Trump used the word restitution, not reparations. See the last sentence. In his July video, Trump said: Furthermore, I will direct the Department of Justice to pursue federal civil rights cases against schools that continue to engage in racial discrimination. And schools that persist in explicit, unlawful discrimination under the guise of equity will not only have their endowments taxed, but through budget reconciliation, I will advance a measure to have them fined up to the entire amount of their endowment. A portion of the seized funds will then be used as restitution for victims of these illegal and unjust policies, policies that hurt our country so badly. https://www.msnbc.com/the...rcna180046 |
So then, absolutely nothing about "giving reparations to white people." He is referring to ANYONE who was a victim of DEI policies - and the biggest victims of all were Asians. Surely you know this. At any rate, this thread is based on a complete lie. Thanks for proving the point. |
Yea, I don't see the problem here. This is actually one Trump statement I would support. Cracking down on discrimination in any form is always something I will support even if it's Trump calling it out. |
And black people’s reparations should be a watermelon. How do you like them apples, you racist? |
I think we're all waiting for the Jar of mayo and watermelon comments to be removed before we continue a somewhat adult-like conversation |
