+1 i was a kid in this situation too and it's not a fun position. My mom got with my sister's dad incredibly fast too. I like the guy and they're still together but I felt uneasy for a few years until I moved out. You can't help but feel replaceable.

It was unexpected. She's happy to give him the family he's always wanted. She knew he would be a good father because of his behavior with the kids. Overall icky thing to have out.

Having a 3rd kid at 44 when your other kids are tween/teens sounds like a nightmare to me but congrats I guess

I have 3 friends who are currently pregnant at that age. Two are 44 and one is almost 45 (will be 45.5 at delivery). All 3 got pregnant naturally, one was an oops.
