Vandy, wow…

This will make more high stat kids want to go to colleges with big football. Why would anyone want to go to a college without B10 or SEC sports?

ND is in the ACC, but not for football. There they are an independent. They play five games against the ACC every year, but cannot win the conference title because they aren’t full time members for this sport. They also play with Big Ten schools in hockey. If they were stuck in the ACC for football, they would have joined the Big Ten already.

Saying "the ACC" should be like saying "the Ivy League."

You forgot Wake Forest, Pitt, BC and NC State ND is not a member of the ACC.

Yes ND is in the ACC. I did not forget the other schools, other than Wake, I don't find them academic equivalents.

Nope, Notre Dame is not in any league, they play ACC teams in certain sports . Here’s a link so we don’t have to continue to squabble. https://www.on3.com/college/notre-dame-fighting-irish/news/heather-dinich-explains-why-notre-dame-has-no-interest-in-joining-a-conference/

Listen you idiot. ND is in the ACC. My original post said athletics, not just football. Every other sport competes in the ACC. So sit down and shut your mouth if you don't know what the hell you're yammering about.

Notre Dame is not a full member of the ACC and football is the marque sport.

Take the loss clown. You got cooked. ND is indeed in the ACC.

NP. This thread is about football...just sayin.

Welp, coaches poll just came out and Vandy is nowhere to be found, nor is USC!!

Bama fell from #1 to #7.

ND and LSU both had bye weeks and rose 1 and 2 spots respectively.

Let's see what the AP poll says at 2.

That was not clear at all in your post, which was on a thread about football. This is what you said:

"The ACC is the only legitimate conference that has great academics and athletics."

Anyone reading it (including me) would think you are continuing the conversation about football. Why you got so bent out of shape for the correction is bizarre. Take the loss? LOL

My wife rolled her eyes as she’s one of the ivy striver parents lol, and we are both ivy grads. My junior daughter sitting with friend in kitchen and said something about Vandy being a dream school for her and friends. Cornell? bleh - and I’m an alum

"Athletics" just because you have a dearth of reading comprehension skills doesn't make you right. You have been shown proof ND is indeed in the ACC. Take the loss.

That was a general comment about athletics that one could make while discussing football. The person who responded understandably wanted to correct you. Actually I was about to do the same until I saw the response. Your defensive tone was over the top and typical dcum. I shouldn’t be surprised.

ok, well hope they are top 10%, preferentially top 5% in their classes. Vandy is almost impossible from DC privates.

I should add that Cornell is a much easier admit from our DC private (per the data over the last 3 years).
