Why doesnt anyone mention DeMatha here?

This is not accurate for class of 2028. SJC had about 400 more applicants than GC for essentially the same number of slots.

We actually know people that have been rejected by DeMatha. It's less selective than some of these other schools but that doesn't mean it's open access. Don't know about McNamara.

That’s probably true.

But there’s a lot more people close to SJC and the alternative for many I’d the DCPS, not Montgomery County.

Kids get shut out during their application year all the time. That includes rejections from DeMatha, GC, SJC, Gonzaga and others.
It has gotten more competitive each year - and the applicants are coming from a larger geographical range each year as well.
