What happens to Kamala’s momentum now the DNC is over?

10-point lead when voting starts. That’s what will happen.

They only way she's going to have a Biden type debate is if she suddenly ages by 20 years. Which isn't to say that the debate stakes aren't high, but Harris tends to hold her own against powerful men.

And this isn't 2016. Trump's schtick is old and Kamala Harris isn't Hillary Clinton.

It's natural. And also the news media has to have a story. The right is furious that they don't get to compete against Biden so they are whining about DNC processes and their new talking point is that we don't "know" Kamala Harris well enough (i.e. - they and the media have to report on things she's actually doing and saying instead of digging up ancient stories on her). Expect the letdown and don't let it soften your resolve to get out and VOTE!

The Dems have a momentum that we haven't felt since Obama. The base is ready.

Kamala addressed the nation, not just the base, in her speech. Independents are polling for her, not for Trump.

No one is passionate about RFK. He was the "none of the above" candidate and has been tanking.

We're good.

RFK was polling quite well in a number of swing states, and the margins there are razor thin. I do think it matters.

I don’t think Kamala and Walz can survive forever on the good vibes machine. Obama had good vibes and policy and he was fighting the establishment (GW Bush). Kamala has nothing more than the vibes, and that’s not enough.

It does matter, but let's be honest, the people supporting RFK wanted an option that wasn't Trump. They still won't want Trump

Do you think Kamala can actually maintain momentum?

Do the Dems have any new tricks up their sleeve if she starts to falter?

She got the announcement boost, then the Tim Walz boost, and then the Convention boost. But that’s all over and the debate(a) loom large.

Can she translate vibes into policy? Predictions?

LOL. That RFK announcement is a blip. It stole the news cycle for about 45 minutes.

+1
It barely made the headlines.

She was a courtroom prosecutor. She will be fine.

Call her stupid all you want. She’s not. She’s a former prosecutor who has run a campaign with amazing message discipline— and discipline, period. It’s going to be an amazing contrast to Trumps rambling and erratic behavior.

Plus, she’s younger than Trump and much more attractive. I think the visual of youth v age and Trump rambling and her shrugging, saying she can’t respond because he’s incoherent and weird and looking younger and better is a JFK v Nixon moment.

She does not need to be policy heavy to win because Trump’s main policies are grievances and retribution. Her upbeat campaign will do well against that.

Plus, Trump is on his heels. He has yet to find a good response to her. None of his insults are sticking. He can’t even land a good nickname.

Maybe I’m wrong. But, I think Trump looks like Biden did in his first debate when he goes against her. Definitely think more people than normal will tune is.

Kamala’s greatest asset is her upbeat, joyful approach to the nation’s direction. I think a lot of people are simply tired of being angry all the time.

This perfectly sums up Kamala’s base — suburban women who don’t and can’t think for themselves and just want a feel good candidate.

Oh, you mean the very same women who voted against Hillary in 2016? Good, I am looking forward to it.

What is her message though? Other than criticizing Trump and throwing out some grand ideas she can never accomplish, what’s her platform?

The current administration she is in accomplished a bipartisan infrastructure bill, gun control legislation, and would have passed a bipartisan border security bill if Trump hadn't tanked it. With all the people so concerned about immigration I would think looking right at the camera and saying on your first day in office you will ask Congress to revive that bill and pass it, if only Americans will vote for her and reject Donald Trump for a third time - remember, he's never won your popular vote, America.

As for her platform, all you had to do was listen to her speech. She wants to revive the child tax credit. She wants to ensure reproductive rights. She wants to embrace the foreign policy that has made America the dominant superpower in the world for the last 70 years. She wants to protect and bolster the Affordable Care Act. She wants to reduce gun violence through common sense measures like universal background checks and banning assault weapons. I'm sure if you do a little research, if you actually want to learn, you can find a lot more information.

Just a couple to start with ..The key message is defending democracy. Don't allow the guy who got his followers to attack the Capitol to overturn the election and tried to make state election officials commit fraud to give him the election anywhere near the Oval Office. Frankly, no other policy matters more than that. Also, pass the bipartisan border bill that Trump had his team kill just to avoid a Biden win on immigration.

That’s not policy. Sorry.

Trump said he was going to cut energy bills and inflation.

Given energy bills are regulated by local commissions and inflation is a global phenomenon, what exactly his is policy?

I can tell you how the democrats are attacking both of these issues:

1) invest in renewable energy and the green economy jobs
2) continue to mine oil at record amounts
3) decouple from the global economy where oil is concerned
4) provide block grants for more housing at the state and local level
5) reduce healtcare costs by strengthening the ACA and negotiting drug costs on behalf of medicaid recipients

These were all articulated by Harris directly.

Are those policy?

What is the GOP plan?

Tariffs are inflationary, the VAT is inflationary and kicking out migrants is inflationary.

1. Not Trump
2. No insurrections
3. Pro-choice.
4. Pro-NATO
5. Pro-Israel, but has separated herself from Biden on Gaza
6. Child Tax Credit

Etc. You realize she has a website with her policies, yes. Google is your friend.

That is, BTW is much more coherent than Trump, who has no policy positions.

What is her pro choice policy proposal?

Pass a bill with a House and Senate majority; continue to appoint judges who believe in individual rights.

Please, please go with this exact messaging. There's nothing that resonates more with women than men's low opinion of them. Winning strategy.

But they will vote for him over Harris

That polling is referring to MAGAism and the extreme right.

When the Dems are in the White House, the economy grows and our international alliances are strengthened.

All of a sudden MAGA are squawking about “policy”…up is down and down is up. Trump says and does whatever he thinks of in the moment. There is no cohesive thought there let alone policy.

She will. She had to hit the ground running at 100MPH a month ago and had to get through this week. Face it, the entire campaign so far has been absolutely flawless. The Convention was flawless. THAT is leadearship.
