In case the poster didn't make it obvious what age group they represent, now you know, lol. And, I were to place a bet, it's a SYC parent who is overjoyed at the 2010 Union's big loss. Even funnier is how clueless this poster is...Lonestar joined ECNL-RL. Hey parent, not sure if are able to think outside the box, but GA doesn't just consist of 2010. I'd tell you to research how many Nat'l Championships, CLUB WIDE, FCV, Nationals, Colorado and South Shore have but I don't know if you are capable of figuring that out. Ukies may not have any but they have some quality teams at younger ages too. Enjoy your competition with Celtic, Armour, VRSC, Skyline, and the "new" FCV though. That list is awfully intimidating. |
Scouts don't just watch games or teams. They already have a list of players they are there to see. They will watch a player on their list for maybe 20-30 minutes and then go watch another on their list. They don't care on which field or bracket the team is playing, and they certainly don't care about the score. They care about what the player did during their 20 minutes. |
I know right? Just imagine how bad your DD's team would get beat! |
I can list similar results for the clubs leaving GA for ECNL at every age group. The only "powerhouse" GA will miss is Nationals. |
I watched the South Shore Selece G2010 team lose to team with players half their size. SSS played direct the entire game and rarely completed more than 3 passes without losing the ball. They'll fit in great in ECNL. |
"This must be the EDP parent who thinks EDP can run circles around ECNL teams." Spoiler alert: It's not. |
ooof seeing a lot of va at the bottom of brackets now |
Or they will likely be at the bottom of the New England Division next year because they are not that good. ECNL +70% D1 Players now. GA is 20% and going down. Guess I know which league I would want to be in too. It’s past obvious which league is more competitive, or at least to those that respect facts and numbers. |
If you do not know, don't post. Showcase A and B games have tons of coaches. They are looking at players not teams. They do not care if your team is the worst out there if there is some reason to watch you. They know who they want to watch before they show up. |
Yea, recruiters are jumping out of their socks to watch the worst team out there. Say it back to yourself out loud so you can hear how stupid it sounds. |
you're so clueless...recruiters/scouts/college coaches aren't there to see a team play. They're there for an individual player that has reached out and they're interested in. they're not just walking around tournaments looking for games to watch. |
I agree with you. But the best players aren't on the worst teams. |
There are lots of reasons why a good player might play on a bad (still ECNL) team. Maybe they really like the coach, may it’s the only ECNL team within reasonable driving, maybe it costs less, maybe the playing style better suits their game, maybe the coaches or players on another team are aholes. |
That team has been trending downward...new "talent" not planning out. |
+100000000 Maybe the other parents on other teams think their DD poop rainbows. Maybe you don’t have a freaking clue what you’re talking about. But scouts are watching players - not teams. |
