If you flew to Seattle for anything but the Champions bracket, congratulations. You're a loser and a fool.
quit counting other people's money...why do you care so much what someone else does with their time and money? so much salt on the boards today from people that aren't even in Seattle
It’s all about money in travel soccer isn’t it? A system built not to identify the best players, but the best players whose families can pay the most.
This must be the EDP parent who thinks EDP can run circles around ECNL teams....RME. Do you understand money is not part of colleges recruiting the players? The players that go to D1 schools who are not skilled enough get ZERO scholarship and won't see playing time until they are Juniors or Seniors. College coaches who have been watching players in many cases for long before your DD was even born, know exactly what they are looking at and what they are looking for. ECNL has over 70% of these D1 scholarship and players. It's not because Daddy and Mommy are wealthy. ECNL has the best players on the girls side and by a LARGE margin especially by the U15 year. This isn't anything new and is 100% fact based by the number of college scholarships. Also has nothing to do with money. If you want to complain about money, point the finger at yourself as well. Inner city families cannot afford any type of Club soccer. Girls Academy cost is almost identical cost but a lower skill level except a handful of teams Nationwide which is now shrinking even more due to the recent additions of GA powerhouses. Oh,speaking of, the reason why EDP players are not recruited is because of the level of competion. If you are trying to save money and stay USYS AND want your child to somehow pull D1 interest, then you are just going pay anyway just like the ECNL players! This through USYS tournaments and showcases (if your USYS team isn't making it to regionals, good luck to you) and/or ODP events and showcases (your child better at least make the ODP Regional team). Whether you like it or not, these are the facts. Sucks that it has to be this way, I agree. Girls soccer is rich suburb sport no matter the league.
Which GA "Powerhouses" going to ECNL are you referring to. South Shore Select g2010 didn't make it out of group Lonestar G2010 didn't even make it to group Ukies g2010 didn't make it out of group Nationals did make it out of group and are going to Finals in Virginia.
In case the poster didn't make it obvious what age group they represent, now you know, lol. And, I were to place a bet, it's a SYC parent who is overjoyed at the 2010 Union's big loss. Even funnier is how clueless this poster is...Lonestar joined ECNL-RL. Hey parent, not sure if are able to think outside the box, but GA doesn't just consist of 2010. I'd tell you to research how many Nat'l Championships, CLUB WIDE, FCV, Nationals, Colorado and South Shore have but I don't know if you are capable of figuring that out. Ukies may not have any but they have some quality teams at younger ages too. Enjoy your competition with Celtic, Armour, VRSC, Skyline, and the "new" FCV though. That list is awfully intimidating.
I can list similar results for the clubs leaving GA for ECNL at every age group. The only "powerhouse" GA will miss is Nationals.
