Scouts do look for individual players but you're kidding yourself thinking that they don't monitor the better teams as well. Just watch the better teams play in both ECNL and GA at events and you'll see more scouts watching better teams and less scouts watching worse teams. |
|
The ECNL kool-aid is thick once some people get a taste they can't stop chugging it down.
Union 0-10 against San Diego Surf. But, there were so many scouts watching how good Union is at losing + not even scoring a single goal. Get a clue and realize the only reason your kid was there was to make other players look like superstars. |
| The rise and fall of the Arlington 2008 team really needs to be studied. |
The Arlington coaches are inept. |
It doesn’t matter. Scouts don’t really care about watching 8th graders. |
True- a lot can happen in 2 years before they can even be recruited by D1 schools. |
I bet if Union plays Surf again in 2 years they lose by the same amount if not more. I also bet that Union parents will spend 20-30k on ECNL soccer over those 2 years. |
| I am amused that nobody on here is noting the success of the Arlington 2011s |
| I was relieved that nobody was noting it, but you took care of that. |
Interested to see when they play the CA teams. Something seemed off with Sting. Either way, rooting for those girls. |
Arlington 11, VDA 08, VDA 09, VDA 10, NVA 07 all have a chance to advance! Of course nobody talks about that. |
How good were they the past 3 years? |
There are others besides those, VDA Dad. NVA 08 probably has a better chance for a WC than VDA 08. |
The best? I agree. But there are P4 offers and commits to girls on the worst Ecnl teams. Not 10. But 1-3. Every coach is looking for what will work for them. And that also means landing someone. You can wait to see the logo boards they put out to see who went to watch who. Right now coaches are all over 08s and trapped 07s. From just about every team. |
rooting for them tha ca competition will be the litmus test |
