Ok mid-rise and low-rise pants - you can come back now

PP again: The American Eagle link brought up an error for me (I was curious about them) and so I did a search for midrise jeans--the results all said high rise.
It's seriously crazy.

Just because you don't like low-rise doesn't mean they look bad on everyone . I am 57 , 5"4 110 and look great in low-rise. Try lifting g up other women instead of being a hater. You will be much happier.

If you look so great in low rise, why do you care what some random who has never seen you thinks?

Low rise jeans are tacky.

I have a short torso, high rise pants go up to my boobs. Low rise pants are like mid-rise on me. I have an impossible time finding pants that fit me.

On you, absolutely.

I’m looking everywhere online for khakis and everything is high rise.

I am in my 50s with a belly pouch and high rise is not flattering and awfully uncomfortable. And I won’t attempt to pull off the big flares or wide leg.

I know this is what’s in with younger stylish women.

But aren’t there a lot of women who would buy mid/low rise and anything on the spectrum between rock star skinny and wide flares.

In Khaki too pls with the flattering square front pockets.

I ordered something off Amazon which looked like it fit the bill, but turned out to be wide leg.

You can shop at secong hand stores or get custom tailored.

Why can't we have low, mid and high options? Same for skinny, straight, wide and flared. People fan wear what they prefer instead of wearing whatever is trendy.

+1

We don't mean 2004 Britney Spears when they say low rise, complete with a thong and tramp stamp. No, just something - anything, please dear god - that ends just below the navel

Speak for yourself!

I would like nothing better than a return to early 2000s low rise jeans on chicks. Bare midriff, tight abs, belly button ring, underwear just peaking out. Women have never looked better.

I recently lost some weight and went digging through my closet. I found a bunch of Rock & Republic jeans from like 2004 that I havent fit into for years. They are soooo low! Way way too low. I much prefer the mid rise of today. I'm not sure if I'll ever get any wear out of these jeans lol. I think I saved them because they were expensive at the time - but I just googled and they are available at walmart now? Oh how times have changed

Low rise for me = flashing my a$s crack to the entire world. “Half moon today folks, but we’re moving quickly toward full!”

Always have looked better in high rise, 55, and not slim. Low rise always hit in exactly the wrong spot plus led to fear of plumber's crack. Never bought any.

Agreed. It’s not a size or shape question, it’s a torso length question.

Long torso people look ridiculous in low rise and short torso people look ridiculous in high rise.

Not just high rise, but also ankle length and flared. It's the most uflattering possible shape that a petite, 50+ woman with belly fat could possibly wear. I can't wait for this trend to end.

I have the same shape, plus I'm short and have a big belly roll with skinny legs. Yesterday I went shopping and found that nearly every outfit consists of high rise flared ankle pants and chunky cropped sweaters with big poofy shoulders. It would be funny if it weren't true.
