Petworth

Logan: look at 1y median TH price 1.17m

CP: look at 1y median TH price 1.625m (note CP is SFHs, THs are harder to sell and cheaper and fewer)

How’s any of this a question?

You're comparing apples to oranges. These are different markets, which is obvious given your SFH/TH caveat.

Those are comparisons of TH, you dunce. Logan has nothing on CP. And I like Logan.

Sitting in the sun porch of my rowhouse in Petworth right now, as my middle school boys play hoops with the neighbor kids out front. 9th year, we love it here.

Love that for you. Last time the basketball hoops story didn’t end so well for the Dad

Yes, exactly. You are not using the Redfin overall numbers. You are cherry-picking metrics to support your desired outcome.

You are not "DC Proud", nor do you "like Logan".

Because also you, dismissively and contemptuously:

Anonymous wrote:"You also win on the murders and rats, and ATVs. It’s paradise."

Nearly ALL DC neighborhoods have issues with murders and/or rats and/or ATVs. You insult a major portion of DC residents with your statements. Your statement above is what people say as an insult against DC residents. You speak exactly like a DC-hater, and no amount of your pack-peddle gaslighting will fool anyone.

You DC-hating, faux-suburbanite.

How are your kids liking MacFarland?

Not that I am a proponent of Petworth (it's not a neighborhood I would choose to live in) yeah exactly that poster sounds dense af.

If DC, even the nice areas, you will hhave the occasional AT and or rodent problem, comes with the territory of living in a city.

The poster you are replying to probably loves in some suburb in the middle of nowhere, in a cheap house, and tells themselves that DC has rat and ATV problems to make themselves feel better about not being able to afford to live in DC.

Hate to disabuse you but:

1. TH to TH is a Redfin-generated 1-year long mean comparison; so it’s not cherry-picked and I can’t teach you math at this stage in life (if I included SFH etc it’d be not even a fair fight)

2. Moved from 20009 to what you would probably call Whiteopia to be offensive to me but is CP: have not seen a rat, an ATV or any crime since; good riddance it’s been years (have seen: deer, bunnies and chipmunks)

3. Why are you so aggro if Logan and Petworth are such paradise? I said Logan had nice townhomes. I found that the neighbors varied and you could be getting secondary mold, sewer and vermin problems through the shared walls. I genuinely cannot stand the illegal activity like the ATVs so am delighted to not have to have them spoil every nice evening. How are you not bothered?

Anonymous
Never ever seen an ATV in the residential parts of 20007-20015

I looked it up; mile for mile I’m as close to the center as you are and takes me less time cause better roads and less traffic. So not suburban either. I have no idea why you are so angry, but I used to get very angry when I couldn’t sleep b/c ATVs

“even the nice areas”: so you admit CP is “nice” and drumroll pleasezzzz isn’t?
Anonymous
No one in CP says “ap”

Maybe in the gentle density areas, I don’t frequent

“af”

This thread is making me dumb “af”, I admit. Bye

A metric comparison can be both cherry-bicked and procured by redfin. That you got it from redfin does not mean it isn't cherrypicked.

so it’s not cherry-picked and I can’t teach you math at this stage in life (if I included SFH etc it’d be not even a fair fight)

It's not a mathematical matter. It's matter of logic, a logical fallacy of incomplete evidence to be precise.

Who has said or insinuated anything about race?

Anonymous wrote: to be offensive to me

Offensive? Your baseless racism insinuation amounts to nothing more than rank desperation.

"bunnies". That was adorable.

Anonymous wrote: 3. Why are you so aggro if Logan and Petworth are such paradise?

I didn't call them paradise. You did, sarcastically.

I like most other people in DC hate ATVs, rats and crime. There is a solidarity among (many) DC residents for our hatred of ATV, rats and crime.

Anonymous wrote: How are you not bothered?

What bothers people from DC is people saying, insultingly, enjoy your "ATV, rats and crime"; its equivalent to saying, "the struggles that bond DC people together, in solidarity, I don't want any part of it so I'm not part of it."

You may or may not own property and/or live within the DC boundaries, but you sound exactly like a suburban tool who thinks Go-Go is a all-female punk band from the 80's.

How old are you? You are either too young for this discussion, or too old to be using the word "bunnies". Which is it?
