SYC to GA "2"

Anonymous
Syc won't be able to get Champions League witch will relegate it to the Soccer dumpster. Enjoy spending your dollars for a few years while syc is a placeholder for a few good players who will transfer to other teams.

Just like ECNL-RL

GA2 nice marketing gimic. The second team has never practiced with the first team in the age group we have experience with.

Same. Always thought keeping them separate was BS. By definition as an Academy, GA and GA2 should have at least 1 combined practice per week to do better job of evaluating and developing all players. They should also trade guest players up and down to help develop each player.

Have you seen SYC GA2 team? Rec at best. GA2 is a tool to fund GA. As long as there is crazy demand and fight for fancy names let’s add more to the menu and feed the frenzy.

It’s to hold 2nd GA teams like RL…

GA2 is just a new label for the 2nd team at clubs in GA. These clubs all have 2nd teams already. It doesn’t make them more money unless they are able to add a 3rd team. But they aren’t adding new teams because the number of girls playing soccer in the Springfield area is not changing.

Seriously. Wanna be ecnl parents stuck in ecnl-rl acting like they aren't also second teams and exactly the same as GA2 teams.

McLean RL at least won’t be able to compete in GA. They will have to rebuild from scratch with some nearby talent.

And then ECNL parents watch their kids graduate, maybe sit on a college bench for a while, and realize nobody actually GAF all along.

The league is called girls academy. The club is not an academy. Doubt any clubs are having their GA teams train w GA2. Then the third and fourth teams could complain about the same. What’s the excuse then?

If your kid is good enough to move up and get a chance to train with a higher team, they will get that opportunity.

The older age groups will have the same problem as SYC, the better players left for the Onion. But if they keep the younger players and attract others, they should be good to compete.
