Saw Robo won fierce nation winter league. Who did they play? (I’m not reading tea leaves for the spring; just curious)

How about John Schroter #49 for UVA representing NOVA Public School lacrosse this weekend. He was insane on Saturday vs. Michigan.

I asked my son over the weekend who are the top five teams in the state and the ones that he listed in alphabetical order are Langley, Madison, McLean, Robinson, and Yorktown. in my experience the boys know better than the Dads, and I would not be on anyone outside of that group.

I think that list is pretty accurate for 6A with Madison and Robinson probably a leg up on the other 3 but would include Battlefield. Robinson played Independence in Fierce Nation final. Indy beat Battlefield in the semis.

That is a very narrow view of the state (Fairfax 6A schools). I would argue Atlee is the best public high sc in the state (they are outside of Richmond) followed by Madison and then a crapshoot of those mentioned above and some 5A Loudoun Schools (Riverside, Briar Woods and Indy). Luckily Maison/Riverside/Atlee all play each other sho that should sort it out on the field.

Kind of hard to say Riverside isnt at the top. They have won 4 state titles in a row, and really didnt graduate anyone.... Thats pretty good.

Atlee beat them head to head last season so it's hard to ignore that (Atlee won states also for Class 4, Riverside won for Class 5, Madison for Class 6). But Riverside is certainly a top-5 program year in and year out.

Great point. Atlee did beat them head to head, you are correct. Looking at it again, I will correct my previous statement. Its probably Atlee 1. Madison 2. Riverside 3...... then everyone else... Top teams until someone knocks them off.

Agreed. Very cool they are all playing each other in real games this season.

Yes, hats off to the coaches and ADs for making that happen. It is great for the sport and great for those programs to challenge themselves.

Why isn’t anyone talking about Broadneck Vs Yorktown and other VA public’s! Yorktown and Broadneck play at Stevenson which should be a phenomenal game.

Probably because it is more than two months away. Should be interesting though. Yorktown, Madison and Langley all playing Broadneck. Think the VA boys will have their hands full.
