| Dang, these kids are racking up some impressive carbon footprints. |
|
Seriously- how are you people affording college after all of this travel?
My kids have been to Canada, UK, and Italy. We haven’t gone overseas since the pandemic. |
| 2 or none depending how you look at it. Mexico and Jamaica. But they spent the majority of time at the resort or on planned excursions to touristy places. |
Dubai and and Abu Dhabi aren’t countries - neither is London |
| I’m surprised these lists aren’t longer and more diverse, honestly. |
| None, like the majority of kids in the US. |
|
16 and 18:
Uk France Spain Morocco Italy Germany Austria Switzerland Slovenia Croatia Bosnia Greece Iceland Norway Denmark Sweden Thailand Japan Costa Rica Mexico |
| Only Canada, Spain and soon England, for mine. Very few people in our orbit travel overseas on a regular basis, so we try to keep even these few trips on the down low. |

16/18 year-old’s:
Spain France Greece Italy Bahamas Mexico Jamaica DR |
You don’t understand? Because they are going to enjoy weather and service and beaches, not to play act like they are a local. That’s not a vacation. It’s something snooty people do. |
Ha! There is a class trip every year and they usually hit 3 countries (Upper School). So at the end, the minimum that a kid will travel is 12, unless they also travel with family. |
I only had one kid and we drive about once a month. Go find another high horse. |
Travel can be extremely cheap if you know how to do it. Sounds like you don’t and you certainly aren’t teaching the skill to your children. |
DP True, but they are kinda like countries. It's like a foreigner coming here visiting NYC for a few days and saying 'I've done America'.. its probably more accurate to say they've been to NYC. Cody, WY is spectacular to see and has almost nothing in common with New York. |
You are embarrassed that you are (extremely limitedly) showing your kids the world? I’d find a new orbit. |
