Others were long distance hiking trips, which are interesting in their own way. The folks you meet on the trail are similar regardless of the country..... |

Kid #2 - Canada (see above), Germany (school trip) For reasons I will never understand, their public HS yearbook features a multi-page spread on individual students' expensive international vacations every year as if it were some big achievement on the kid's part. |

Both kids: England, France, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Ireland, Spain. We spent a year in the UK and traveled during school breaks, plus a few stand alone trips.
Older kid: Canada (university visits) and Mexico (gap year). Big 3, one Ivy and one Ivy-plus parent. |
