we are going to Hollywood Beach for the second year in a row. last year stayed at Marriott Hollywood and this year an Air b n b right on the beach. the Broadwalk is so nice and a great three day getaway from DC in March.

i mean, breakers is insane.
just drove past it half an hour ago on way home and every car entering the property was insane. granted this is 'the season'

I'm going for a weekend at the end of the month. Will be in a rental car like a camry - hope they will let me in!

Seriously though, what is resort attire like? I was at the Ritz Amelia Island last spring and it was pretty low key. Sounds like the Breakers is not?

We stayed at the Breakers last April and plan to return this April. “Resort wear” or “golf casual” is appropriate. Whatever you likely wore at the Ritz would be fine here. Men should wear a shirt with a collar when in any restaurants, women something similar.
The Breakers is a great resort and better than any Ritz we’ve ever stayed at.

Bumping this thread for recent advice. Would love to take the family to FL for a long weekend this fall. Has the area recovered since Ian or did Helene inflict a lot more damage. News reports are very conflicting.

The Ritz in Naples. I'd also look into the Hyatt in Bonita Springs---have not stayed there, but had dinner at one of the restaurants and thought the property looked really nice.
