| Would appreciate tips! We’re deciding between keys and maybe Fort Lauderdale. |
| St Regis Bal Harbor |
Go away. Any other suggestions? |
| We had a nice weekend at the Marriott Harbor Beach in Fort Lauderdale a couple weeks ago. |
| Ocean Reef (Key Largo); Cheeca Lodge (Islamorada) |
| Cheeca Lodge is pretty nice. Not super luxury, but a solid resort that isn’t super expensive. |
+1 Cheeca is awesome. Also great resorts up in Hollywood, with better beach. |
| We have enjoyed Hawks Cay and the Turnberry in Aventura. |
| Marriott Singer Island (one island over from Palm Beach). |
OP here. We are looking at this one - interested in any additional details on the hotel and area. I am a bit concerned that Fort Lauderdale is overrun/busy/not as nice as other areas but I don't really know if I am right about that? We have looked at Cheeca and we drove around the hotel once when we were staying nearby. But we'd love to be near the beach and there really isn't any to speak of there. (Also that was not me telling a poster to go away! Thanks for all of the helpful suggestions). |
| JW Marriott Marco Island b/c it’s warm at spring break and so beautiful |
DP checking this out but it seems rather tired. and no food options except on property? |
We haven’t been in a few years but used to go regularly bc it was an easy weekend getaway. There are plenty of restaurants on so get island as well as in palm beach |
Why did you so go away? |
|
Op what is your budget and time of year you expect to go?
JW Marco island is typically $800/night plus whenever I want to go. So is st Regis Val harbor. Both are great properties though. Marriott harbor beach is nice too. |
