Characters that ruined a TV Show

Terri.

Adding the cousin on 8 Simple Rules didn't help any after John Ritter died.

Rollins grew on me on SVU, but Kat was awful.

I agree with OP as far as Raven Simone. Never did like her character. Same goes for the youngest on Family Ties, and Billy on Who's The Boss. They were unnecessary characters IMO.

Before Terri there was Cindy, Chrissy's cousin. She was supposed to be dippy like Chrissy. Only the first roommates had the right chemistry.

The Nancy character who replaced Nellie Oleson after Nellie grew up and got married on Little House on the Prairie.

Yes, 100% this.

And I expect it's been said, but when Jenny Piccolo became a person on the show Happy Days instead of just a friend talked about who existed off screen. That was a mistake.

Like how it would have been an inevitable let-down if we had ever fully seen Maris or Vera on Cheers

As Parks and Rec was nearing the end of its run, those "twins" who came on and just shouted about everything. No, shouting isn't funny on its own.

100% I *hate* Michelle Trachtenberg to this day.

Another vote for Megan on Mad Men, her parents, the whole plot line.

Improved a show: Amanda on Melrose Place.

That show lost its heart and soul with Phil Hartman’s untimely demise.

Are you talking about Jean-Ralphio and Mona Lisa (they really didn’t shout much), or are you thinking that Billy Eichner played 2 characters (he didn’t; it was just Craig)?

Family Ties when Courtney Cox replaced Tracey Pollan

Game of Thrones when they replaced sexy Ed Skrein with blah Michiel Huisman as Daario Naharis

NYPD when Ricky Schroder replaced Jimmy Smits.

Jean-Ralphio and Mona Lisa have done nothing wrong, ever in their life!

Craig, however, was the worst.
