Otherwise that is my favorite show along with Seinfeld. Susan was awful on Seinfeld. But the envelopes got her.

Basically, any kid they introcuded later on: cousin Oliver, Raven Simone, the kid on Who’s the Boss, the brother on Family Ties. There are more, just can’t remember.

Adding the cousin on 8 Simple Rules didn't help any after John Ritter died.

Rollins grew on me on SVU, but Kat was awful.

I agree with OP as far as Raven Simone. Never did like her character. Same goes for the youngest on Family Ties, and Billy on Who's The Boss. They were unnecessary characters IMO.

yep most of those: Cousin Oliver on Brady Bunch, Andy on Family Ties, Sam on Different Strokes, that time Leonardo DiCaprio was on Growing Pains etc.

Raven Simone's character was Olivia. I was kid and liked her, but admit it was likely a gimmick.

Agree with Meghan from Mad Men. The Office trying to replace Steve Carrell was a cluster.

Usually it's the addition of kids (Cousin Oliver syndrome) that ruins shows. But I also dislike when shows start spending more time on kids storylines which are usually not as interesting as the main characters. Sopranos, Shameless, Ray Donovan, Bosch, some of the Game of Thrones kids to name a few.
