She has my vote

Of all the council members and the mayor, I’d have a hard time telling you what any of them stand for besides getting elected. How about you take a look at what Gore was saying in mid-late 2020 before doubling down on the view that she’s the savior the city needs? And how about making it a point to stop being hoodwinked by professional politicians and cast a vote in favor of candidates with substance?

If one of those ran in Ward 4 I'd be thrilled. But what we have instead is two people serving up different flavors of the day - "criminals can do no wrong, in fact laws are mean/racist" vs. "crime is out of control, I will crack down on it!" They might both be vapid, insubstantial professional politicians but that's what we have to choose between.

The issue is that we have seen what one has done/not done. So we have evidence that one has NOT done anything. We don't have evidence for the other. In this case, I'll take the unknown versus the known.

Agreed. Gore doesn't necessarily have my vote yet--I'd like to hear more. But with Janeese, she's clear about what type of leader she is and we know exactly what we are getting. I simply don't agree with her approach and I'm not happy with the situation. I am more open to someone who says that her highest priority right now is crime, since it's also my biggest concern right now.

Time for change. What we’re doing ain’t working.

I'm a Ward 4 voter and I like Janeese. I certainly don't agree with her on everything, but she's rational and knows better than the clowns who think DC can incarcerate its way out of this current mess.

Completely agree. Lisa lacks principles and tilts in the wind to whatever can carry her politically.

Janeece's supporters clearly thought their candidate was going to go unchallenged and skate to another term. The panic they're showing on these threads is telling. She's not a strong candidate. She beat a very weak incumbent in a low-energy pandemic election and has accomplished nothing except appear more friendly to criminals than their victims. She's extremely beatable.

Can't wait until she accepts the DSA endorsement with open arms! Ward 4's Jewish voters will love that!

Completely agree. Because Janeese is actively making things worse, replacing her with anyone would be an improvement.

Only 44 percent of the people who have donated to Janeece's campaign fund live in Ward 4. 14 percent don't even live in DC.

If an anti-crime candidate can pick off the Ward 4 Council seat and voters can coalesce around a much needed replacement for Frumin, it should moderate the At Large members and hopefully create a moderate voting block on the Council. Of course, we might not have that much time before the City collapses.

The city is collapsing already. Bowser’s rise has featured incredible luck since Day 1 and interest rates keeping homeowners tethered to the city and not fleeing like so many would like to do is her latest round of luck.

We absolutely can and should incarcerate our way out of this mess. All studies show that a relatively small number of people are responsible for most of the violence. They should be tried, convicted, and incarcerated until they are too aged to be a threat.

How is Frumin anti-crime? He hasn't even been in office long enough to have a voting record on it.

Anyone but soft-on-crime Janeese. Good luck to Lisa!
