Nobody likes people who gloat. Are you like this in real life? Stop it

Brunch granny is always annoying.

Ha, yes. I refrained from digressing to she is no doubt one of the impossible MILs we hear so much about, but thinks she's all that instead.

I am not brunch granny. You do realize that thousands of people participate on this website, right?

I always assume young grandparents are not as educated as older grandparents. Just sayin'.

I’m not gloating. I am merely saying that posters claiming it’s not a big deal or it doesn’t matter or who cares are just wrong. It’s cool being a young grandparent. It just is. It doesn’t mean it’s the only thing that’s cool, but it definitely is one of the cool things.

This thread is not about you. Narcissist.

No, the thread is not about me. But it’s also not about bullshit from people who say that being a young grandparent isn’t a cool thing simply because they don’t have the luxury of being one themselves.

Hey just ignore that asshat, being a young grandmother is cool, you and I both know it, and finding opportunities to insult random people on the internet is totally not cool. The PP you are responding to thinks they are in charge of this topic for some reason, but they are not.

Also, keep in mind, pretty much 99% of those on DCUM cannot possibly know what it's like to be a young grandparent because the demographic here doesn't skew that way, mostly. So to them you and I are obviously wrong since they are so right about everything. Who cares?

How do you not get that this thread is about making the older grandparent feel better, not add to their unhappiness? Sheez.

How do you not get that there is no law against stating a different point of view no matter what the thread is about? Check out almost every other thread on DCUM for examples of this.

You would be very wrong in our case. In our case, both the grandparents and the parents all have masters degrees. Including all of the spouses.

DP I always assume older grandparents are crotchety and argumentative, just sayin.

Young Grandma is starting to sound like a young, bored programmer bro who is using this thread for sport.

Hmm, would a kid rather have an older grandmom or a bitch grandmom?

Lauren Boebert is a grandma at 36. Just sayin’

That's a tough one, why don't you tell us how they react to a bitch grandmom.

You clearly don't have good critical thinking abilities. This isn't an alternate POV thread. This was supposed to be a comfort thread. But you are too self-absorbed to understand the difference.

My parents were grandparents in their early 50s. My mom is a great involved grandma, my very rigid dad cannot handle being around more than 1 little kid at a time. He eventually blows up and scares them. So whatever. Generalizations about age are just that - generalizations.

Too funny. Young Grandma probably thinks it makes her relevant to grope dates and vape in movie theaters too.

I am a parent who went to a kids activity today and saw somebody who looked like a pregnant grandmother she was so old. I will never understand that.

I think 70 I'd a great grandma age. That's when my parents became grandparents, and by then they were done with travelling the world, esoteric hobbies, and the whole retirement rumspringa so they had time to watch my kids for me
