I think the dsw-hater poster is just embarrassed that we're 5 seasons deep into tall boots and she hasn't picked up on it. |
Really. I’ll wear them with jeans too thanks |
Don’t care if they are in or out of style. I look HOT and feel great in them so watch out world! |
Tall Frye super boomer |
Ahaha DCUM feeling attacked. |
Being overconfident is not necessarily linked to looking good - and that is what people are asking here: how to look good. It's already established that you don't want to look fashionable, so not sure what you're even doing on Fashion forum. Nobody is going to be more confident because you told them so. |
Why are you in the fashion forum arguing about why you don’t care about fashion. |
Then get back to it. |
I’m here because I happen to like tall boots, and I happen to like wearing them over my jeans. They keep me very warm in the fall and winter. My #1 goal is comfort. Always. There seem to be 3(?) posters here who are quite content to wear what we like rather than what people tell us to wear. |
Yes, and we clearly annoy the women who need to make a thread to give them permission to wear something. |
Listen, show up to drop off or pta in your skinny jeans with tall boots over. Some of us go to work and need to look current and presentable. |
Where do you work where you have to dress according to current fashion trends? Do you work at Vogue or something? No. So get off your high horse. I also love the fact that you think I’m a SAHM and think that’s an insult. I’ve always worked full-time. |
Do you….not understand that in most professional jobs, looking presentable is helpful? And also ageism is real? There have been studies done about it. Either way, I have my own style and things I like, but I also like to try to keep current and there is nothing wrong with that. |
Do you seriously think wearing tall boots over pants will result in someone being subjected to ageism or being viewed as not presentable? Wanting to keep up with current trends is fine, but casting people who dress slightly behind the trends as not presentable or opening themselves up to ageism is delusional. |
