I think she just did a “what I eat in a day” post and the daily mail added it up. |
It's very possible. I'm about her age and my metabolism is wrecked by a number of things, including medication. If I eat much more than that 900 calories per day, I gain. |
This is the calorie intake I'd expect for a super model (who remembers Yolanda Hadid telling Gigi to eat 2 almonds and chew them really well?). Not sure why this is surprising. The modeling/entertainment business is totally bonkers.

Cocaine or nicotine ...both suppress the appetite. |
. LOL you think it’s starvation bc of media hype about the 1200 cal limit it’s not some kind of hard and fast rule. It depends on a person’s own body and the limit was invented to reflect an average not an absolute. Like others on this thread once I hit 50, I found my metabolism slowed even more and 900 is a good amount for me. I also found it’s enough and I don’t feel like I am hungry |
Not everything is about you. We aren’t talking about people who eat. Go look in the mirror Narcissu, you miss yourself. |
There's no way this is accurate.
Someone of her age/height/weight should be eating a *minimum* of 1300/day, with NO activity. Basically in a coma. But I presume she's physically active a few days a week, and thus has a caloric requirement of closer to 1800. Twice what is alleged. Something's not adding up, and these BS "what I eat in a day" videos should be badly and deservedly criticized. https://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=50&csex=f&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=9&cpound=137&cheightmeter=180&ckg=60&cmop=0&coutunit=c&cformula=m&cfatpct=20&x=67&y=19 |
It’s a lie… plus
While everyone's dietary needs are different, to be clear: 900 calories a day can be dangerous and lead to malnutrition over time (most people have a resting metabolic rate of at least 1,000 calories). What's more, promotion of restrictive eating can send an incredibly negative message and end up justifying disordered eating. The National Eating Disorders Association |

I just calculated what I eat during the day
breakfast: 3 eggs (hardboiled) and a banana 320 calories lunch: boneless, skinless chicken breast, bell pepper, fingerling potatoes, nectarine 260 snack: large plum 40 dinner: pasta and meatballs 500 That's a little over 1100 and I consider tonight's meal to be heavy. I can totally see myself eating less than a 1000 a day just to maintain my weight. I hate exercising to there is that. |
You’re really stretching the meaning of “plenty” here. |
I dunno. My niece is a model. She is 5-8 and 115lbs. She looks good -- well-defined muscles. As she says "It's my job to be thin. You are good at your job, auntie, and I am good at mine." She is also a Pilates instructor. I don't think she consumes more than 1000 calories per day. |
Most people actually don't know how many cals they eat on a daily basis, so I doubt you know how many your model, pilates instructor niece eats. |
I’m pretty sure someone who is a model and that thin knows pretty darn close. Not the pp |
