You want to warm something up in the microwave for 2:30. What do you do?

I have no idea why, but DH would put it on for 3:30 and then have to monitor it the entire time. Or forget to monitor and it is overcooked. I don’t get it but I have stopped trying to understand or micro manage it.

I needed to microwave something for 7:30 just now. Not going to lie, I just hit "express" 15 times.

Press “2” and then “add 30 seconds”

Another big fan of the 30 second button. I would use it for anything up to and including 5 minutes, so I guess I draw the line at tapping it 10 times.

Are you too ignorant to input the cook time of 7:30?

I do 2. Our microwave actually doesn’t have number buttons. It’s got the 30 second button and then a slider section of the keypad where you just drag your finger across it and the time increases.

The issue is the flat buttons, it takes visual and tactile acuity to actually type a time correctly. Hitting 30 N number times is mentally way easier than navigating the locations on the flat slick keypad.

Same reason why audio volume on cars should be a dial, or maybe physical rocker, and never an abomination like a flat touchscreen like our current car.
