Poll: You want to warm something up in the microwave, for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Do you:
1) put in the exact time 2) hit the "30 seconds" button 5 times 3) other (explain please) |
| #2 |
| #2. Microwave might as well not have any buttons except the add 30 and stop. |
Follow up: If #2, at what length of time do you put in the exact time? 4 minutes? 7? Never? |
| I would just put it in for 2 minutes 30 seconds and go after a minute to flip or stir. Why are people hitting 30 seconds over and over? |
|
#3
I ht 2 which automatically does 2 minutes, and then hit the 30 seconds button. |
|
hit 1 minute 3x then just watch when I think it's getting near time
|
| #1. My microwave doesn’t have the 30 sec button. |
| 2 min, stir, then decide whether I want to add more. |
I do this as well. Press 2, press +30, done. |
| 30-30-30. Stir 30-30 |
| In this example, I just push 3 for express cook. The real problem seems to be something like 3 minutes 20 seconds. Nannies and family members alike don’t want to learn to press “cook time,” then 320, then start. They all push express cook 4 and count backwards. |
My mistake. It thought it said cook for 3 minutes. But you get my point. |
| Option 1 and I'm horrified to consider the psychos who do option 2 |
| My microwave, the 1-6 are all express buttons for 1-6 minutes. So I press "2" for 2 minutes, then the +30 second button once for 2:30. |
