Grooming styles changing?

Being bare looks prepubescent and not appropriate for an adult woman or for men to prefer.

What do you all mean about "the undercarriage"? Are you having your derrière waxed? How? In what position are you? And what relationship do you have with the person doing the waxing? And who on earth does this job?

And back when you did this for the first time, who told you about this? And how did you find the person to do it?

The undercarriage is the labia and the area around the anus - hair that doesn’t show in a swimsuit so it’s not part of a standard bikini wax, but is part of a full Brazilian and is a common service offered at waxing salons. I don’t care what anyone does with their hair, but it’s not some fringe thing that’s hard to find.

Thanks, Karen, for your view on the topic. Anything else that you would like to share?

I learned of it when I got my first and only Brazilian in the early 2000s in my early 20s. I went with a friend on a whim and didn't fully realize what I was getting into. I remember she had me basically hold my feet in order to access the area. It was awkward. Lol.

It does feel nice to be smooth there but now I just do it myself on occasion. Razor bumps are real though, so not often. I've been using a home IPL device and it's been working - it won't last forever though.

I do the undercarriage and sides, leaving a triangle.

I prefer to be silky smooth. Just my preference.

I think many waxers have different styles. For mine, when they do the top/sides I am laying on my back with my knees bent to the side and bottoms of feet together. Then if you want the back done you hug your knees to your chest so your feet are in the air. I like to do all my waxing with the same person, and we just chit chat about random stuff. Waxers do it 20x a day so it's not anything new to them. I kind of think of them like a doctor in that sense LOL. They see it all and don't care, they are examining the hair growth patterns and how to best get rid of it.

On the plus side, Gen Z seems to be stopping with the insane body hair removal.

Same here. 43. Always done this. But to a PP’s point, I’m not very hairy. Barely any arm hair, very fine leg hair etc. so maybe the bush is less bushy than some. I’ve never compared!

There are often consequences for things that are inappropriate.

What’s the consequence for this preference?

Oh please. There are a few of you Fern Gullies who latch on to these threads every time it comes up and start lashing out with your weird baggage. We get it, you have Seth Rogan in a leglock. Kudos!

Nothing like going down on a birds nest.

Have you ever considered that you have a "birds nest" of your own going on down there? A lot of ladies don't like that either.

I’m sorry to tell you that as someone who has a family owned spa, the waxers/estheticians talk major trash about their clients hygiene, odor and accidental farts when getting in that position. Tip- use a wet wipe on your backside before getting a Brazilian!!

Guy here and I don’t. I prefer bare. In short, there are preferences but no right or wrong.
